I may have asked this question already, but It is my hope and want for anyone who has experienced it to comment on it. My last relationship(k1 and we married 2 weeks later after POE) ended very quickly... She left after only 6 weeks and went to another state. I know she claimed abuse, which was not true, I never touched her. She had friends here and refused to tell me of her whereabouts, finally I filed for divorced(granted) after filing a case with ICE stating marriage fraud. She is still in the Country after a year, so I assume they accepted her story without ever talking to me. You may comment on this if you like, but my main question is, is there any knowledge on wheter this will affect a CR1 from success?

What makes you believe that? Did you file the AOS package before she disappeared?

It was filed, but per the USCIS, they told me it was canceled. I never went to any interview and I beleive she didn't send enough money and she showed up at the divorce hearing in May asking for alimony and stated that I abused her. she did not get Alimony

Hey there...

My ex wife, here on a K1, was almost the EXACT same story however she DID get her Permanant Resident Card first, then ditched citing all kinds of bogus information. I was simply used for a Visa in my opinion. I continued to visit Colombia as my second home and met my current wife during the divorce process. Almost one year after my divorce was final I got married and filed a CR1 with Vicky, even having to state my ex-wife as a dependant because I dont know if she lives in the US anymore! It has not come up thus far and we are an interview away from being together. Hope this helps and good luck to you!

encouraging, thanks for your time. I married my wife 7 months after my ex walked out, but only 1 month after the divorce was final. I have no idea what USCIS will do. My wife is in China and they are one to the slowest embassies in the world.
