We used the new version of I-129f and on the USCIS site there's an instruction on how to fill out the new form. Well it says that if your answer on any of the questions' N/A or "NOne" leave the space blank. We are about to send our packet today but confuse if we leave a lot of blanks!!!!My fiancee wants to follow the USCIS instruction .Now I'm worried because im reading in here that the number 1 rule in filling out forms is to never leave blanks!!!!Should we leave it blanks or put N/A to all the boxes that are not applicable ?

I used the new I-129f too to petition for my fiancee. I hope we don't get a RFE for leaving questions that are N/A or None blank (just following the form's instruction).

Guys intead of going crazy and taking the chance to make a mistake and to avoid an RFE why dont you call the 1 800 375 5283 number and ask them directly. Even thou and RFE is not the end of world it would save you a lot of time in delays and thats what you want. So that is my suggestion I did write N/A on mine were is wasnt applicable and had no problems.

USCIS speaks with forked tongue! I have watched in amazement how they put out new forms , then mass problems occur at service centers because employees have not been trained on new forms. This happened about 3 months ago with new financial support forms..

We just finished our packet and sent today. I was wondering the same thing about the blanks but read the directions and they said to leave them blank, so I went back and deleted all of the spaces where I entered N/A and None. There were 4 places where there was not enough room so I put see attached and made a seperate continuation sheet for each.

We are very excited to begin this process. This forum has been a life saver, or at least a money saver. We decided against hiring a service or immigration attorney and go at it alone. Just us and VisaJourney.

Be blessed

We did "NONE" on our forms.

For our photos, I did the bio form, then stapled a zip-lock bag with my photo in it with the bag labelled with my name to a sheet of paper, and paper clipped my biographic form to it.

The new instruction is to eliminate errors. Leave the line blank if your answer is none or N/A. The reason they did this is because some people got wrong information on their record because of this. For example: some people put "none" on the middle name line because they don't have middle name (this is because the old instruction was to pun "none" if the answers is none). But what happen is that USCIS actually put the none as the applicant's middle name, which create a problem to the applicant.

Don't stress on this too much. The instruction is pretty simple now: LEAVE IT BLANK IF YOUR ANSWER IS NONE or N/A, it's that simple.

I filed in May and we used the old form...this new form looks easier to complete.

In my case anywhere I could type N/A or None I did. (Except for Alien Number, so they could add that to the form when it's provided by them)

I read that the adjudicators look for empty answers and that's why I added None or N/A to every blank answer.

We received our NOA2 in 76 days and had no RFE's. So in my experience it seemed to work.
