Being sure that it was IMPOSSIBLE for our President to be THAT stupid and wishing to avid throwing myself off a bridge, I checked and found out that Obama actually DOES know where those cities are and is ONLY confused about where the Gulf of Mexico is.

I disagree with you mostly but I have to salute you on creating threads of worthiness. Not just another lame brain me too thread that leads no where.

It is acceptable to me that Obama may miscount the state. He does have a lot on his plate. I mean poor Guy is not just managung a Wendys drive through.

PS: I think he wuused out by not meeting Putin. I'm more upset at that than not knowing how many states.

He should have known Dems won't vote for women when they threw Hillary under the bus. He needed some of you to cross over for him but like that's happenin' with a woman on the ticket. Fool.

Carter would have canceled the upcoming Oympics. It is possible Obama could do that also. We will see. He is definitely scared to face Putin.

If Reagan or Snowden were in office, Putin would have gone and snagged Snowden himself and escorted him back and tried to have arranged for the return of a HOT woman Russian spy in exchange.

Oh well, we chose a Community Organizer with little other job experience.

A. The IOC organize the Olympics, not the POTUS.

B. The Winter Olympics in 2014 aren't being held in the US, nor are the 2016 Summer Games.

C. Even if they were, the IOC would find another venue if necessary.

In 1980 the Summer Olympics were held in Moscow, Russia, USSR. President Jimmy Carter cancelled the US participation in those games in protest for the USSR invading Afghanistan. Perhaps I should have been more clear. I think most people who understand the prehistoric times before 1980 understood what I meant.

Some years later the US invaded Afghanistan for basically the same reasons and had to fight the same people only now they were armed with junk we had given them to defeat the Russians. In retrospect we should have aided the Russians!

See? That wasn't so hard, was it? When you stick to what actually happened, things make a whole lot more sense.

But what good did it do? A lot of Amrican sports men and women were denied the chance to compete against the best in the world. And all the rest of the world remembers is that the USA wasn't there.

Yes and I thought it was as weenie a move as the rest of Carter's. Those young people worked a lot harder than Carter to get to that level and he denied them the chance. It had nothing to do with politics.

Worse yet is that the USSR boycotted the Olympics in LA in 1984 in retaliation, again denying the Americans a chance to know if they REALLY earned a gold medal. All for nothing.

While your points about the IOC make sense, we also now have a President that thinks he can repeal laws with a wave of his hand, implement immigration reform by executive order, eliminate parts of laws and basically dictate anything he wants regardless of any limits on his authority. Unless, of course, someone like Putin tells him to go pound sand in his @ss. Who knows what he will do regarding the Winter Olympics, he may declare they have to be moved to Switzerland...no wait...Oprah, almost forgot...OK, Sweden. Wait does Sweden have Gay marriage? Probably yes.

There should be a place for politicians to play their games and leave the rest of us out of it. Like a WoW for politicians or something.
