Hi guys,

I just received an email this afternoon from USCIS that my I-130 is being transferred to local office for further processing.

My PD is August 2012. Is there any August 2012 filers from VSC that have received similar emails? Please join so we can compare progress.

I see the same thing on their web site

On August 9, 2013, we transferred this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN to another office for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case. We sent you a notice of this transfer. Please follow any instructions on this notice. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

what does this mean can anyone explain a bit.

I think they are sending some of the bulk of applications to satellite offices for processing as they are having so much of a backlog and cannot process all of them.

f2a485, I just went through the same process, you just have to be very patient and everything will be fine. I am also from cameroon and it took about 2 years 5 months for the whole process for my wife to get her green card.

Our PD is Sept 2012. We received the same update from USCIS:

On August 9, 2013, we transferred your I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN, to your local USCIS Office for further processing

I also saw the USCIS notice about the workload transfer from Vermont (VCS) to Nebraska (NCS):

Yeah it states local office but actually that is being transferred to NSC.

I remember another poster that received same notice 2 months ago which states case was transferred to local office but when the received the hard copy of the notice it showed that the case was actually transferred to TSC.

So according to their official notice on their website, i will assume that this case has been transferred to NSC.

Anyways, the notice should come in in a couple of days or so....

I received my third status update on the transfer from USCIS today:

The I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you.

So it looks like the file is now in Nebraska.

Thanks a lot for sharing this link. It now makes a lot of sense why I have been receiving numerous emails from USCIS about the transfer of my I-130 case. At first I had thought that their system was messed up. This makes a lot of sense now to me...... thanks again

Same in my case I received same change on August 15, when mu husband called us is they said it is transfered to St. Albans Vermont, we can expect to hear within 30 days decision, don,t know what decision they talking about

i do to received an email said that my case transferred to NBC office then whiten 2 days later i got another email said that my case transferred to local office then a day after another email said that my case is n Nebraska ?????? plz somebody help whats is going on ?
