But Danno has a compelling theory. This is a hoax. A fake hate crime. Because there is a spelling error and the target was not African enough.

I think a target higher on the list might have been something associated with Obama, MLK, African Museum or something more inflammatory to the type of person who would do something like this.

We all know that people who are going to vandalize sh*t think long and hard about what they're going to vandalize and run spellcheck first.

People deface war memorials all the time. Not because of any personal feelings towards the soldiers being honored, but because they know it will piss people off.
