So far the evidence proves that vandals defaced a statue, what we don't know is who or why they did it.

With the never ending examples of people with an axe to grind..... being found to have hoaxed us with this sort of thing so many times,

I make no assumptions on who might have done it.

If you were going to gin up racial outrage, would this not be the target?

I mean who does not admire Jackie Robinson? The true racist would have targeted something less American and more African.

I make no assumptions or predictions on who the perp(s) I simply observe the long list of such hoaxes and require a bit more evidence than spray paint alone.

But Danno has a compelling theory. This is a hoax. A fake hate crime. Because there is a spelling error and the target was not African enough.
