Thank you for taking the time to write this. My wife is nervous about having to be interviewed, so it makes it easier to read experiences like this so she knows what to be ready for.

We married in March and I just submitted the documents because it took FOREVER (3 months) to get the NSO certified copy of our marriage certificate. So I'm hoping things go easily from this point on.

Congratulations!

Thank you all for the wishes.....

Isn't amazing how God put everything in place. When He is in control..... All things are possible.

I feel really great right now and can make plans now since i have a clearer picture what is ahead.

The Visa is the key for the bridge to open...... Now my Fiance needs to set his mind .... for the wedding plans.... lots of $$$$ to spent hahahaha dancin5hr.gifoops8rh.gif ... America here i come rolleyes.gif

I would have loved to have my wife here sooner, but we opted for the IR1/CR1 path because that would get my wife her Visa and Green Card all in the same time. It takes longer, but that way we're already married and all she has to do is hop on a plane and she's here permanently =))

Plus, am I sure you know, you can have a big fancy wedding in the Philippines for a fraction of the cost of what it takes in the U.S. to get married.

Between my renting a condo for the month of March next to the Mall of Asia, paying for the wedding dress (I already had my Tuxedo), paying for the reception (had it at Ilang, Ilang restaurant upstairs...huge wedding reception area....good food and the price was right), took our honeymoon to Puerto Galera for 10 days, including my airfare from Los Angeles and back....I spent about $5000. Now tell me where in the U.S. can you do that? Lol.

We will have a party for when she gets here for my relatives here to enjoy our union. But it's hard to beat the value you get for your American dollar in the Philippines. =))

Congratulations!!! It's my turn on Monday YAY! Wish me luck guys!!

By the way I have questions, can we staple some documents? For example the Proof of Genuine relationship, I have around 10-15 pages of chat and call logs, and will it be okay to staple it? Also did you staples other documents like DS 156 and other forms? Or will I just leave it that way -- Unstapled?

We have the option to do that but we couldn't wait for long to be with each other that's why we applied for K1 visa. And thanks God it took us on 7 months! So I am just now waiting for my visa and a quick run to CFO to do the seminar then off i go....

The plan is a simple wedding but a large reception in US. I told my Fiance it will be his wedding in the US... with his family and friends. It will be a little tight though....1 month preparation as soon i arrive. It will be in his house, he do an amazing barbeque... while my mom and I will do some of it.... since we have a little talent in catering stuff..... it should will be tiring but I know it's worth it.

Well the Philippine wedding will be my wedding...... I'm the youngest of the siblings... I already set his mind that it wouldn't be a simple wedding and he's okay with that..... so what else i could ask for ..... lol......

I hope everything will be fine as planned........

God Bless!!!

NOT geeezzz it was long.waited for a couple of minutes on the left side then there's the lady with the blue shirt asked some of us to fall in line on the right end and began checking our documents. Keep on saying "Make sure all questions that are not answered write "N/A" or "NONE". NOTE: this is very IMPORTANT!

Checked the following:

Chat logs need to be stapled....DS forms no...

Thank you mine all went well! Hey, you know it's weird they didn't ask for my DS-230, I found it out when I get home and the form was still in my envelope and I was worried. Did they get yours as well?

Hi,

This is Dahlia using cjmc page....

We discussed about the need of filling out the DS-230, the list from the US Gov. page, but it clearly explains that this form is required for IMMIGRANT Visa Applicant only. So I did not fill it out, just brought a copy of it. I guess i forgot to ask that to the CO to clarify it.

Maybe VJ's had some input about it.

Congratulations!!! Got your visa approved too. I am just wondering how many days we can actually check the Visa/Passport status.

Hi Hopesoon,

This is Dahlia using cjmc page.

I will be home tomorrow and look for that link and send it to you. I came across also at this FB status message:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/161491033963/doc/10151593156523964/

told him that I have done all that and the only way to get a PCC is fly back to China. He said not to worry because they will help me and told me again that I did well. During the waiting time, I heard one of the Filipino CO talking to a lady who worked in UAE for 6 years that she needs to provide a PCC, she explained her side. The CO told her to sit, I talked to the lady and listened to her story. She was called back to window 72 and I bet you'd be able to imagine how happy she was that she doesn't need to provide a PCC since it is really hard to acquire one. I suddenly felt that there is hope,
Though it maybe case to case basis. After I told the Filipino Consul that I resigned and went back here last Feb., then he said I don't need a Police clearance.
I will keep it in mind to post it tomorrow when i find the link.
Good luck to your interview.

Thank you so much dahlia for your prompt feedback, greatly appreciated. The cases you have told me about other's PCC issue lighten up more my burden. Have you elaborate all your work history in the biographic data during the application process?
