Our interview is this month as well..and my fiance got a whole book of stuff from me too...even though I was told that they wont ask for half the stuff I send to him...but better safe than sorry lol....good luck to you both smile.png

Sept 24 2016 - resent packet (1st attempt arrived 2 days too early due to miscalculation of 90 days)




AOS Timeline


8/9/14- Mailed I-485/131/765 (took a long time to get our Marriage Certificate)


8/15/14- notified via text and email that application was accepted on 8/12 and being processed.


9/8/14- Biometric done; 11/5/14- EAD/I-131 Approved/Card Production


11/5/14- AOS moved to testing/interview; 11/13/14- EAD/AP Combo card REC'D


12/16/14- AOS Interview- APPROVED! 1/3/15- Green card approved.

8/22/2013 Notice that Alien Registration Number was changed 11/04/2013 Consulate Rec'd


8/26/2013 NOA1 Received by mail 11/12/2013 Packet 3 rec'd


9/20/2013 Email notice of NOA2 (31 days)



02/04/2014 After many months of waiting and frustration, FI finally got his birth certificate, passport and police clearance from his home country and we received an SMS today stating that his SA Police Clearance was finalized.


02/18/14 Police Clearance rec'd


2/20/14- Second packet 3 sent to consulate


2/27/14 Followed up with Consulate to get interview date. They schedule an interview for 2/20 when he submitted the application of readiness (what we had to do to extend his NOA2) on 1/21, but they didn't notify us of that appointment, so we missed it.


3/27/14- Interview- APPROVED!!!


4/10/14- FI entered US via LAX and flew to SF 6/14/14- Civil Ceremony

Hakobrena amd Devy&Lynette are ya'll still waiting for the NOA2 too?? In 2 days my fiancé and me we will have reached the 5 month mark. It is unbelievable :'-(

It will come.. This might test your patient but you will be united soon!!:)

13th May 2014: AOS (I-485) & EAD/AP combo card
21st May 2014: NOA 1 and biometric letter
11th June 2014: biometric appointment
13th June 2014: RFE received via mail
16th June 2014: replied to RFE
6th August 2014: EAD Approved, AP still in initial review
12th August 2014: got tracking number for EAD
( ) August 2014: Received EAD (I forgot what date I got them but I did receive them less than 5 days from the 12th)
10th September 2014: Interview Waiver received (I wished I was interviewed)
April 23, 2015, we registered your permanent resident status and mailed you a Welcome Notice

Hi all..... Yes still waiting for our NOA2, we approached 5 months on January 7, Called USCIS to request service, they said that regular processing time is not 5 months, its usually 6-7. And to wait untill atleast 6 months period is over, then to call back and request servise on my case, which will take another 2-4 weeks. Its unbelievable it got me all pissed off..... !!! Congratulations to all who's going to see their fiance very soon.....!!!

Grateful to report we have our interview @ London Embassy on Jan 23, 2014. I was able to get the info by calling DOS. I know that today was the first day the info was available because I have been calling since Jan 1! They said the package was sent to my fiance on Jan 7.

I am hoping those still waiting will hear good news soon!

Hi all..... Yes still waiting for our NOA2, we approached 5 months on January 7, Called USCIS to request service, they said that regular processing time is not 5 months, its usually 6-7. And to wait untill atleast 6 months period is over, then to call back and request servise on my case, which will take another 2-4 weeks. Its unbelievable it got me all pissed off..... !!! Congratulations to all who's going to see their fiance very soon.....!!!

WOW! Hakobrena I'm so sad and at the same time mad to hear all this! My fiance will call on january 12th too and I already told him to not just talk to the first person on the phone... He needs to talk to a tier2 officer.... Were ya'll doing the same? It is really hard to understand what they are doing there....

I'm really thinking about getting me a job to pass the time faster because it seems endless!

Yes Trisha I spoke to level 2 officer.... thats what he told me... he also said that it looks like the case have no problems but it usually takes 6 or 7 months. And that they are processing July 13 cases at the moment. That is crazy!!!! Unbelievably crazy, I can't go visit my fiance at this moment, but he is having a hard time being separated for so long. I feel helpless, I don't know how to help this move faster, sad..... very sad

I'm speechless :-O about the fact that they work on july 13 cases and here on VJ you see cases getting approved from November and October 2013?! I KNOW it is only showing a few out of probably thousands(!) but how is this working?! @#!&&@# man o man it makes me so mad and sad I could cuss the whole day about it and I know not one little thing would change..... So back to waiting like always! How I hate this waiting
