That's awesome!

Ours won't be until the 14th of January, but then again, I think we need the time as we have a sh*tload of stuff to move back to the US and people to say goodbye to before we leave.

Congratulations, you're almost there!

Hello every one

how are you?

i have a question to you, does the embassy receive the packet from NVC with all the documents and evidences that we sent to USCIS from the very start we applied for K1?

please i will appreciate your inputs

thanks much

Yes, the embassy will have the docs and evidences you submitted when you filed for your petition. But like what N&P said, bring additional documents. Not sure how strict your embassy is but over here, they ask for chat logs, email exchanges, letters, pictures etc. They didn't ask me for those but I saw the other interviewees being asked so better be safe than sorry. Almost there you guys! All the best!

Interview is scheduled for 12/12/2013, stoked.

Woot! Goodluck @ddym. Hope to see more August filers approved.

@Nikkosan, I agree. So many things to do before relocating. We purposely scheduled a few days shy of Christmas day just so we can prepare more and attend as many lunch/dinner/parties from friends and family before taking off. Raaaar!

Goodluck with your interview, btw.

Thanks, DandC!

We just got the suitcases out to figure out what we can bring with us!

We're anxiously waiting for the interview date, and to fly back home two days after that!

We're soooo over this!

Happy holidays...WITH your loved ones!

Just called DoS and they said consular sent Packet 3 since Nov 26. Hope I get the package soon and mail back to consular (confirmation page DS-160, original I-134, & copy of scanned signature of fiancee OF-169). Once they get these forms, they then can setup interview date.

I guess it depend on your country. The (Optional Forrn) OF-169 is a checklist. See link in pdf. It's the last page. I email the consular and they said it does not need to be original signature. A copy is good enough.

Hi John&Britt,

TSC shipped our case on 11/21 and they received it on 12/02. I've been hearing from others also it's about 10 calendar days from shipping give or take a few. I was calling a few days before and they didn't have it, but then last night, bingo! They gave me the case number over the phone after I provided some info. They will mail you the info but you can get it a lot faster on the phone and then be able to track its progress.

Petitioner's birth certificate is not needed although at times, requested so bring a photocopy of it. For the divorce certificate/decrees, make sure to bring a certified copy (the one with dry seal). This can be requested from the Clerk of Courts. We have read and heard stories about others being put on AP because of not having the certified copy. So better be safe than sorry!

All the best!
