August 2013 K-1 Filers

Hi friends!

I called the Department of State number (( (202)485-7600 )) and got through right away with no wait. I was surprised to hear that the NVC had electronically sent our case on the 6th of November to the London Embassy! Woohoo! She said they have yet to download our case at the embassy but once they do our hard copy gets sent to the Embassy at that point. Either way, its left the NVC and we're on our way! She also gave us our case number as well. Our NOA2 was on September 27th, and we were at CSC.

So our timeline is:

Received NOA1: August 16, 2013
Received NOA2: September 27, 2013

NVC Received: ??

So you just call Dept of State instead of calling NVC at 603 334-0700?

Well, I'm with you! I'm so over this process! Our case was received at the Consulate on Monday 11/4 and we haven't heard a beep from them, even after 2 e-mails. Historically, they've been very responsive to other k-1 inquiries, so I don't know what about us that is so special...I know, before anyone starts jumping down my throat- they can just be very busy at the Consulate, but it's just discouraging that others can email and get a response within the hour and I'm going on 5 days. Le sigh.

I've also been told our consulate is usually pretty swift, so I'm hoping they won't change their tune once our petition gets there! I'm truly starting to hope we could be back as soon as the end of the year!

I haven't tried because of the time difference, although I suppose I can have my fiance try, but sadly, I don't quite trust him to get it done (only because I don't think he's aggressive enough or know how to push for an answer) and I'm a control freak. But I'll have to give in if we won't hear anything by next week and have him call. I don't even know why I'm rushing because we're waiting on his passport and that's gonna take1-2 months anyways.

I hope you get a speedy interview date and will be with your loved one before end of year too!!!

Seems like most August 2013 filers have had their NOA2? This feeling of being left behind is terrible.

Congratulations to all the August fillers who got their NOA2.... Good luck on the rest of your journey!! Im are still waiting, haven't seen any changes since September 4- Alien number chsnged. Filed on August 7 at TSC. Is anybody else from August still waiting???? ((

We were approved October 24 TSCand havent received that status in uscis portal.. hoping they will send ours too.. congrats

I hear ya! We're the opposite, I'm the beneficiary, but I'm very much like you...I'm also the one who knows how the process works.

The good thing about us is that we're together now, so it's easier.

Filed August 16th and still waiting for our NOA-2. 90 days is approaching rapidly. Hope we hear by then.

I'm getting processed pretty fast too.. Petition is in transit to the embassy and I think that it's already there except it's Veteran's Day on Monday so I cannot do anything. Anyways, I hope that you and the rest of us that were not approved yet will get NOA2 soon! Sending good vibes to all of you!

Happy for you! Same here...status said "In Transit". My fiance had registered for medical on Tuesday. We will be paying for visa tomorrow and hoping to have the interview scheduled online tomorrow as well. Hoping and praying for a smooth processing...

You will hear from them soon. Not Monday though.. They have Skype too! Try and call or PM them with Skype. Maybe you can get a reply faster?
