We received our NOA2 on October 9. I just called the NVC to just check on our status. I wasn't expecting anything for awhile to be honest. The lady on the phone told me our consulate (in Tunisia) received it on the 25th. Wow! That was so fast!! Does anyone know what happens next?

I called the NVC last night to check on my case status and to change my fiancee's address (she's moving to a different country next month and we'll need to do the interview in Thailand). My NOA2 was on 26 September but, as of 28 October, the NVC did not receive our case. Our service center was California.

For everyone's information, the NVC told me that I should wait for 8 weeks after NOA2 before calling to check on its status.

I also sent an email to the NVC to change her address and they just got back to me today. From my experience, it took 13 days for them to respond to my email. They again noted that the application had not been received. They seem more helpful in the email because they asked me to send them a copy of my NOA2 form so they can ask USCIS about my case.

Yay- got our case number, finally! I called on Friday and they said they didn't have it. I emailed two weeks ago and I finally got a response this morning saying NVC has received it and it's in AP processing now. Yay!

I tried to check the status online at the ceac website, but it says my case number is invalid- am I doing something wrong or do I just need to wait a while for it to be in the system? I went to: https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?eQs=WwjqOlbeRYzCYubaSQI+RA==

Nevermind, did some digging and found out that I have to select Immigration Visa, not non-immigration. I love how informative this site is, all I have to do is do a search and like magic, most of the answers to my questions are in front of me

Finally! congratulations. Another step completed. We emailed NVC this morning and they got back to us saying they don't have anything yet. We'll try again on Friday since yours got approved just a few days ahead of us.

called NVC today. If you call later around 8:20 (PDT) I got a human on the line in 10mins. I asked for my case #, and wanted to conclude the call, but the lady volunteered the status of my case. It was forwarded to Guangzhou as of yesterday. (10/28/2013)

I used the case number to lookup on CEAC site, and the case# only works under "Immigrant Visa" rather than "non immigrant visa" section. I was confused, thought K1 was a non-immigrant visa.

When I looked up the visa, it only say" case is ready for interview when schedule at consulate" and not much else. Will I expect this page to be updated as things progress?
