Hi there Congratulations to all of you on your case approval.. I need some help from you all if you can guide me with any information,......

I filed my k1 petition in starting of august with TSC alien registration changed email on august 28th 2013 and while checking my status online 2 days ago it says again your alien registration number changed on Oct. 16th 2013, since than checked my status may be hundred times anxious nervous don't know what's is next and how long to have to wait...

Is this was the same situation with anyone ..

Well if it helps, the alien registration number was assigned to my fiancee on the 6th of September and I got my approval yesterday. However that said there is not pattern to this. I have seen people who have had approvals in less than 10 days after the alien registration number change notification. So, it can happen to you as well.

Goodluck

hey guys...

Count on me..August filer under tsc......good luck to us...and God bless us all..i heard that that tsc is not so fast in terms of issuing the NOA2 but so fast upon issuing the case number..thats what i read mostly here....so good luck to all of us guys....just keep updated and in touch....

Not sure about your timeline dave but I would wait at least for 50-60 days after NOA1 (at least that is what seems to be the norm at TSC). In my case I was proactive and I called USCIS on Tuesday this week and requested audience with an USCIS officer and I was very polite with her, but, I did let her know that I was not so happy with the fact that, some of the petitions before me and after me were getting approved while I still languished at the Alien Registration change status.. I am not sure, if that helped but I did get my approval yesterday.

Just got our case number from NVC today -- NOA2 9/6/13, so 6 weeks for case#. Still thankful though, since we only waited 25 days for our NOA2. Ankara, here we come!!!

Would it be fairly safe to hope then since my NOA2 was September 11 that our case should be shipped off to NVC soon? Does the USCIS service centre update the status to shipped to DOS / NVC as they send the petition or can there be a lag in updating the status > so the petitions are sent a few days earlier?

i got our case # by calling DOS directly. The USCIS site hasn't been updated with any new information yet, but the CEAC site just says "At NVC" when you enter our case number.

Hope you get your case # this week!!

Cjbaker16,

When ours was sent last week I got an email that stated "On October 16, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly". I am not sure if they do that every time for everyone. I hope you hear something soon!

Thank you. I have called DOS a few times but they just say it's not yet been received by NVC - me being impatient really.

Here's hoping this week - it will be 6 weeks from NOA2 which seems to fit with the CSC timeframes.

Congrats to us all! A lot of August filers are getting their approvals rather quickly. Let's cross our fingers that we'll all be with our loved ones this Christmas season! While waiting for our case #, we have been working on the documents needed at the USEM. We're good to go with the medical and interview as soon as we get that elusive case # from NVC.

Goodluck to us!!!

Can someone give me a link where you found exactly what you would need for the interview? We are waiting for our case number but I wanted to be somewhat prepared (as much as possible) while we are waiting. I can't find a specific list or information. This site can be hard to navigate :) Thank you all and Good Luck!!

Last night at 10.30pm my time (8.30am East Coast USA time) I called Department of State to see if NVC had our petition, being impatient. The response was friendly and just advised they didn't... so I figured USCIS still have it.

I woke up this morning around 4.30am and saw a reply to another thread where a few people said they didn't think USCIS updated any information after saying it was approved. So I called USCIS who wouldn't tell me any information because I was the beneficiary - first time for that but she did confirm no further activity would be updated online past approval status.

So, having Department of State in my recent call list I had this thought "just call them again" because my previous call experience with NVC was so long and waiting on hold on international calling is not okay. A very helpful lady assisted me and she told me NVC do have our petition, it was received 18 October! She gave me my SYD ref number I need to book my medical in Brisbane.

He signed the I-134 this morning and is about to post it to me, I have my police report already... so I am now ready and waiting for packet 3 and snail mail.

It's so silly because everything wasn't moving it felt stagnant and like we weren't getting anywhere and that was starting to mess with my head, now this has happened and my mood has of course improved and I have more to focus on other than "when will NVC receive our petition" ...
