those of you who got approvals...how much longer after your alien registration number change did you get your approvals?

it really doesnt matter i know people that got it changed in september and are still waiting for there approval and i got mine last week and i got approved yesterday. One thing i also noticed is that they dont go by number order cause there are a couple behind me that havent been approved and thier alien# changed back in september. So basicly it could be at any time. I got approved in 58 days and exactly on the week that VJ predicted

sorry for answering question was not meant for me, but mine does :)

It takes approximately 60 days for petitions to be approved there in Texas, and I believe yours is on the way.

I wish there was more structure with this stuff, so we can have somewhat of an idea of when to expect something. 5 months is so broad when you have approvals all on board getting their with in 20 days to 60 days . Thank you for the reply :)

I am also an August filer. We filed Aug 14th and NOA1 was dated Aug 16. We are a same-sex couple. Now waiting on TSC for the NOA2. Funny, yesterday I received a text and email telling me that they sent the NOA1. It took 30 days for that message to arrive. Anyone else have those problems?

I am the US Citizen

Hey Vernon. Congratulations on the NOA2! Could you please clarify whether you're the petitioner or the beneficiary? It may make it easier for others to provide more relevant info.

I'm not personally very familiar with the rules on this. But I believe that if you're the petitioner, the purpose of asking about your record is to ensure that your intended is aware of it for their own protection under IMBRA. You may want to search under that section of the site.

In the case that you're the beneficiary, don't quote me on this, but my understanding is that they are concerned about crimes of moral turpitude. So how you are affected would partly be dependent on what the offense was. Do a quick search on VJ, the question has been asked a few times with some lengthy and informative answers. I found this thread:

http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/455568-beneficiary-criminal-record-success-stories-and-denials/

Hope you find this helpful. And good luck smile.png

Thank you,

I realise I probably posted in the wrong forum (Well I didn't realise., my lovely and ever knowing fiance pointed it out to me...:))

Just to clarify, I am the beneficiary in the application.

We are hoping if all goes to the potential schedule that I should get my interview in December, obviously no guarantees of that.

Both of our birthdays are in March and we are hoping if accepted we can be together prior to that.

Fingers crossed and thank you again.

On Wednesday our status on USCIS was updated:

"On October 16, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly."

Does anybody know how long does it take to get to NVC and when we should call them for a case number?
