Amy, what about your fiance? Did he ever have an alien number assigned to him? If not, he will be assigned a number soon. Its like a unique identifier that USCIS uses to identify a person and his/ her subsequent applications (AOS, GC, etc..)

I only have one for me :( and 2 months has already passed. Makes me feel like our petition got lost somewhere amongs many other :(

NOA1 - 6 August 2013

NOA2 - 11 September 2013

Still waiting for the petition to be sent from CSC to NVC. So annoying since I have had to make arrangements on my living situation that means I will be uncomfortable for the next few months all in prep for something that's not quite 100% approved. I know they say not to make plans like that until you have approval but if I locked myself into something now it would pose a bigger problem for me once approved.

I know how you feel. There's a lot of loose ends that need to be tied here. Job, car, living situation.. etc, etc.. Not to mention, more forms and another letter of intent that needs to be sent from thousands of miles away.

I don't know what to do now. There's nothing that we can do until the petition is sent to NVC.

I hope that they will send ALL of the approved petition at once.

Good luck!

Can someone tell me what the next steps are once you receive the NOA2. I just got an email that said there was an update on our case.

Post Decision Activity

On October 16, 2013, we shipped this approved or re-affirmed case to the Department of State for visa processing. For more information, please contact them directly.

For approved applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include USCIS sending notification of the approved application/petition to the National Visa Center or the Department of State. For denied applications/petitions, post-decision activity may include the processing of an appeal and/or motions to reopen or reconsider and revocations.

Does it go to the Dept. of State and then the countries embassy? I am hoping someone here knows and can tell me :) Thank you all so much!

read what's written towards the end of the page. Congrats! Hopefully, I will be in your situation soon!

You have a little more leg work, but not as much as what you had to complete with the original submission. Read carefully, and don't forget to submit anything that he, or she will need for the interview!!!

yes, it will go to the National visa center, and then to the consulate. after a week, you can begin calling NVC for the application number that they will assign to your case before they ship to its final destination.
