Oh My Goodness!! I just got my email saying our petition has been approved. My heart is beating crazy fast. What do we do now? I wasn't expecting that to go so fast.

Congrats! Well, next step is to wait again for NVC to email you stating that they sent your papers to your consulate. It will take hopefully 3-4 weeks or you can call them in two weeks to follow up. For now, prepare the documents that your fiance will be needing for the interview like ITR, police certificates, etc...

Goodluck again to us all waiting for the NVC...

Congratulations! Since you are with TSC, you should be getting another notification once your paperwork has been shipped to NVC. Usually approved petitions from TSC gets their case # faster than us in CSC. We got approved September 20th but haven't even bothered calling since those that got approved prior to us haven't gotten their case #s.

Anyhoo, enjoy the moment! And best of luck on the next leg of the process, NVC then embassy.

We are I-129F filers at the CSC who got our NOA1 on Aug 28. There's a whole group of I-129F petitions immediately before us and immediately after us who don't have NOA2s yet....however, there's at least 18 couples who filed after us who have been approved. It also seems like a huge group who filed right before us have been approved as well. Since almost no one who filed at CSC for I-129F between Aug 20-Aug 30 have NOA2s, does anyone else get that feeling of dread that all of our files are sitting in a box on someone's desk who may be on vacation or sick leave or something? It's downright stressful wondering why such a large group of us haven't been approved yet.

We felt that way too before while waiting for NOA2. But hang in there, approval is prolly just around the corner. The next leg is as stressful as well. CSC approved filers take over 4-6 weeks before getting their case #s from NVC... Sometimes longer...! Goodluck!

I got this message from NVC when I emailed them:

Thank you for your inquiry. The National Visa Center has not received
your petition from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
Please scan and email your I-797 or I-171 Notice of Action to
nvcresearch@state.gov. Type the receipt number in the subject line of
your email. We will contact USCIS on your behalf to find your petition.

It hasn't been 8 weeks since my approval, my NOA2 was Sept 20. Do you think I should bother following the instruction above? I have a feeling that if I do, they'll respond with, it hasn't been 8 weeks yet.

thoughts anyone?

Well, basically it doesn't mean anything. It just something in their internal processing. My number was changed on September 19, and I received NOA2 in 3 weeks. But it just means that they are working on your case, you may get approved any day.
