Marife and I filed in August as well. We got our notification on September 19th that it was approved. From NOA1 to NOA2 it took 30 days. Much faster than we anticipated. It was welcome news after a few weeks of bad luck with medical emergencies in both our families. With things returning to normal and the approval, we can finally get back to working on us.=)

Hey Marife and Tony I see that you said you received your No2 already. I am curious have your received your case number yet to set up your interview by any chance?

Thanks!

Hey there, I am assuming that you haven't gotten your case # yet? We just got approved this week and you last month so kinda wondering if the wait is really this long. Have you tried calling or emailing NVC? Thanks!

Hey there DandC, unfortunately we have not received a number that's why I was checking if others had. I actually have a lawyer so shes been calling for me once each week to see if we have one but they said they are way behind and haven't even received my case yet soooo I guess it's going to be sometime until once of us receives our case number :/ Keep me updated if you somehow receive a case number before me :).

Thanks!

I think that means they've assigned your fiance an alien #. I just received my NOA in the mail today and saw that he has an ARN. At the very least, it means it's been touched idea9dv.gif

Thank you for sharing those timelines with me. The thing I noticed about those particular petitions is that the original applications were sent in a few months ahead of mine which probably means we won't be seeing out case #'s for sometime.

Alright let's all keep each other informed :)

  • Hi to all the other August filers. I have noticed the folks in que at the California office are moving at light speed. We are unfortunately in Texas. I want to say good luck to all those happy souls that are under way! I am also eagerly waiting for anyone from Texas in this group that gets approved. It is like waiting for the first robin of spring. I keep going to the window and seeing snow and sparrows. Patience is a virtue and we will endure. I never imagined I would be here. I never thought I would fall in love with a girl so far away. Life is funny that it always has the ability to give us the unexpected. We received mail confirmation of our application on August 14th and her (Mae's) number was changed September 6th. We used a legal immigration service and I think it did make the filing easier. We met for a vacation in Costa Rica in May. I am going to the Philippines the end of October. We Skype every day. I wonder what couples did before the modern media age. It must have been just a whole lot of faith. My name is Jerry and I will come on from time to time to share my experiences. I think it is cool we can give one another strength in a process that is bound to have it's ups and downs.

warmest regards-Jerry
