Hi

I have a question on Birth certificate. I am born in Saudi Arabia. But my parents didn't collect the the Birth certificate from the Saudi Embassy, all they have is the Notification of Birth from the Hospital. This document clearly states the date of birth, Both parents name (Mother Name is slightly misspelled), and nationality and place of birth. Which is also is signed by Attending Physician, Hospital, and the OB&GYN specialist.

I want to know if this document will suffice for I-485 or I need to provide proper Birth Certificate. The only problem is that I don't know how to obtain the BC from Saudi Arabia as my parents came back to India long back.

Any update on this will be helpful.

Regards

Robin

Why not check on the "national civil registry" in your country??? usually, even if you were born outside your country your parents will register your birth at the nearest embassy...

Just a thought... ;)
