Ok this is the situation. I've had Ventral Hernia for a while now due to a previous pregnancy. Me and my husband spoke about me getting it taking care of once he comes to the US. Since then We've had a little boy that will be 2 soon and the hernia is worse. I have an appointment to see a surgeon about it next Thursday (scared out my mind) If they say I need the surgery now I would need my husband here because I don't have anyone that will help with my son while I recover. So daddy to the recue!! I want to expedite my i-130 but should I? Would it slow down my process? If denied would my regular process continue as normal?

I haven't done it but I think you should try to get your case expedited. It's a valid reason. I believe you need proof so you should ask your doctor/surgeon for a letter explaining your condition and the urgency to get the hernia repaired. I don't think it would slow down your process but others may have advice. Good luck with your surgery and everything! :)
