Call dept of state, you be on hold for less than 5 minutes. I never call NVC it takes forever just to speak to someone.

I am april filler's

I just got approved JULY 29, 2013 and send to NVC JULY 23, 2013

and i call then today , she said the paper's just arrived in there building aug 5 but she did

not give me a case no. over the phone.. she said i need to wait 10=20 days..

hope not...

Every time we call NVC we wait in hold 15 minutes, I think this is normal time to wait for them

Chami. I'm still waiting for my case number. I call NVC sometimes three times a day. I'm actually in hold right now!!! I don't know whether to laugh or cry!

at NVC they got immediately the case no. and also my papers arrived there AUG5 .. i will call later this afternoon again..

yes the wait time is horrible, its weird that u can't get ur case #, and its there thats crazy

yeh it sucks.. i am thinking to call them again for 3rd time lol

but maybe they also monitored how many time i called them..

Email NVC to request your case number, once your file has shipped to the embassy NVC will send a reply email with the case number.

NVC CONTACT INFORMATION:

E-mail: NVCInquiry@state.gov I highly recommend you email NVC for the case #, even if you call and get it, this will give you a correspondence from NVC with the case # for future reference. The email request for your case # is also a great way to track when your file is forwarded to USEM as NVC will not reply to the email until that time.

REQUIRED SECURITY INFORMATION:

You are required to provide the following security information with each inquiry to receive a case specific response:

* NVC Case Number or USCIS Receipt Number (Place in the subject line of the e-mail).

* Petitioner's name and date of birth.

( NOTE: If the visa petition is employment-based, include the employer's company/organization name instead of the petitioner's name and date of birth. )

* Principal Applicant's name and date of birth.
