Hi!

Would like to ask what to do? Here is my situation.

I am here in Canada and my embassy is Montreal. My daughter is in the Philippines. She will have a K2 follow-to-join.

How can I get her K2 visa?

I am abroad, she is 6 years old and my moms taking care of her.

She already have a passport. Plan to get her next year.

Questions:

1. I would like to schedule her for medical and interview but I wont be there to accompany her. Will they require for my mom to get a document or paper like power of attorney to accompany her in her every schedule?

2. What first step should I need to do because she will be using a different embassy. My embassy's in Montreal and her is Manila. Am i facing any complications with it or not?

3. How long is the process for my daughters k2 before she can fly to the US? ( I will be getting her in the Philippines)

4.what are needed for filing to Manila embassy? Do I have to contact them directly or who am I to contact first?

Nov.2011: Meet in person
Aug.2012: Got engaged
Jan29,2013: Sent I-129F petition
Feb 4: NOA1:
Jul24,2013: email notification stating our approved application was sent to Department of State for visa processing
July 6: NOA2 approval date
Aug 21: NOA2 hardcopy sent out by USCIS
Aug 5: NVC received our case
Aug 8: Montreal Consulate received..
Aug 19: Packet 3 sent to USEM ( no packet 3 received)
Aug 27: Packet 4 received thru email.
Aug 12: Medical exam date
Nov 18: Interview date / Passed

Nov 19: Visa issued

Nov 25: Picked up visa and POE

Nov 30: Wedding day
