Hello VJ Members. My wife and I are preparing to do the DCF.

My wife (31) a USC and I (32) have known each other since 2008 while she came to India on her vacation. She came to visit me in April 2011 for 2.5 months.

We got married in April 2012 and she stayed with me for 3 months. We had a court marriage in Mumbai and did not have a separate wedding/reception as her family is not supportive of her decision because of an interracial union (USC Hindu/Indian Muslim). However, my family is happy for us.

She came again in January 2013 and has been residing in Goa with me since then. She is currently working remote for a US company and I am a doctor preparing for my US Medical License exam. My permanent residential address is in Mumbai. My wife is an Indian origin and has a multiple entry tourist visa. We got her FRRO registration and residential permit done in Goa.

We have many pictures (no wedding pictures), videos, financial transactions, receipts, boarding passes, flight tickets of travel together etc, accumulated since my wife's first visit till now. We have two affidavits from her cousin and his wife and I have 3 affidavits from 3 of my best friends who were all witnesses at our court marriage.

I have been living with my wife in a rented apartment in Goa for more than 6 months. We do not have any contract/lease/rental agreement since we did not plan to stay for more than 4 months. We have been paying rent on monthly basis. The owner does not want to make a pre-dated agreement of our stay here now. Is it ok to get an affidavit from the owner stating that we have been living here together for over 6 months? Is the affidavit good enough to prove our stay together? Do we need to get an electric bill for this rented apartment?

We are deciding to visit Delhi for DCF next week.

Also, since I have been staying in Goa for over 6 months, do I need to get a PCC from the Goa local police authority other than a PCC from Mumbai passport office?

Also, which address are the packages from the embassy sent to after i-130 approval? Is it my permanent address in Mumbai? Or our rented Goa address.

Do we have an option of where the packages will be sent from the embassy?

Please advise your suggestions and opinions.

im sure an affidavit from the landlord would be legitimate enough to show evidence, as well as all the other things you have. youll need a police certificate from any country you have lived for over 6 months. the return mail will be sent to the USC's address stated on the I-130.

01AUG2013 - Sent in I-130 and required evidence

05AUG2-13 - USCIS received our petition

08AUG2013 - $420 withdrawn from my bank account

15AUG2013 - NOA1 received

11OCT2013 - Return from Afghanistan dancin5hr.gif

21OCT2013 - RFE - Requested my boarding passes from the itinerary I provided. AHH!

21NOV2013 - Approved via e-mail by Rome USCIS

26NOV2013 - Got our case number from Frankfurt IV via e-mail

26NOV2013 - Completed DS-260

07DEC2013 - Packet 3 Sent

18DEC2013 - Interview letter

03JAN2014 - Interview - APPROVED! goofy.gif

09JAN2014 - Visa arrived in the mail.

You only require 1 passport PCC ( from your current resident place ). It does not matter whether your passport was issued in Mumbai or elsewhere.

Does anyone live at your Mumbai address? If yes, and if you wish to show that address as an permanent address, then you can mention that, but you will have a field to enter your current address ( Goa address ).

Collect as many as documents are available to support your relationship.

Thanks for your replies! My husband and I have all the required documents and evidence of bonifide marriage, but we've read almost every CO asks for the wedding album, which we do not have. Nor do we have a wedding invitation.

However, we have hundreds of our pictures together. Planning on taking 300 pictures. Should we take more since we don't have wedding/reception pics?? This is making me nervous!

Also, we have thousands of pages of gmail chat history since 2010. How did you guys print these? How much history did you print? I'm taking screenshots and pasting on Word, but its going to end up in more than a thousand pages!
