desperate...3+ years good income and denied at interview

I sent my i864 and it was approved by the nvc because I was over the guidelines. . Then I sent my 2013 taxes to my wife for her interview, I knew it wasn't good enough because of a knee surgery and a 2 month trip for a visit. I missed four months of work in 2012. Sooo, I sent my 2013 pay stubs which are well over guidelines. And still she didn't receive her visa. What now? Co-sponsor? And how do I go about doing that, how much longer will it take? Sorry I'm in panic mode. Thanks

did they say she was denied because of Afd??/ We were asked for a co sponsor and income well above the guideline but not denied.

We need to know exactly what was said. It is extremely unlikely she was outright denied for this, she likely was given a couple of months to come up with either more assets or a co-sponsor.

How far it'll set you back will depend on how long it'll take you to get what they want.

Do you have someone willing to co-sponsor?

Yes I have a co-sponsor. Im just confused about what I have him (my dad) do. My wife says to send the information to her. So do I have him fill out an i864 and send it to her with his current 1020 tax form?

Yes, I-864 for the dad, 3 years tax info, and ideally also a letter from his employer/ paystubs and of course proof he is a USC. If he files jointly with your mom, have her file I-864A.

First of all Queen, thank you so much for helping us with this situation. Its very much appreciated! Ok, I emailed my wife my dads completed I-864, the last 3 years tax returns and a copy of his birth certificate. He is self employed business owner so I didn't send a letter. My parents do file jointly, but my mom doesnt work. So is her form necessary?

Likely not if she doesn't work, but because they file MFJ it would be a good idea anyhow, just in case they ask for it!

Also you will have to mail your wife these documents, not email them. The embassy will need an original signature.

When I sent in my 2009-2011 (filed all paperwork before april 15th) they were all over the poverty line. But her interview was yesterday and I had to send her my most current, which was 2012. I missed over 4 minths of work in 2012 and missed the poverty line by a few thousand.

My original post should say 2012 taxes not 2013 obviously. But I also sent my 2013 paycheck stubbs from this current year. $800 per week, so im not sure why we need a co-sponsor

I can tell you my situation. For 2012 I also did not work for the whole year ( for not being in usa for the whole year) and just made over the poverty line. Then I left usa again to visit my wife and came back to usa again on May and luckily got a average to good paying job in june and I applied with this and I just got approved with NVC. For 2010 and 2011 I did not work in usa (I was with my family in my native country) and made very little money (if converted to us dollar that comes way less than poverty level).

I'm also wondering will I be required a co-sponsor at the interview? Or they just look at the most recent year?
