Wow, okay so we got the P4 today (touched on 5 Sept) but at a cost. We had a interview date of 23 Sept. and everything would have been fine but we panicked and canceled last nite only to find out we had P4 today, so we are bummed. Who knows if we would have gotten P4 with or with out canceling, but Glory be to God! We have completed another hurdle that should have been 1 week, LOL. Now days when I read -it only takes 2 weeks- I compute that to read 2 months, LOL. All is good, so now on to the interview for 23 Oct. and hopefully arrive US Mid Nov. Wish us well..smile.png

Regards,

if she's paid at CITIC bank, and already sent back the P3,

then she should register at ustraveldocs.com and attempt to self-schedule.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

hmm, this is totally different from what she got, she received nothing but a one page instruction to send back ds230 part 1 and some photos...am I going crazy?that seems like the p4 instruction...

Darnell is correct. Register with CGI, pay CITIC fee if you haven't done so. Attempt to schedule appointment but don't until you receive P4 by email.

We are all going crazy going thru this process... ranting33va.gif

Am having trouble with the website, it kept on giving me error message when I attempt to go to the login page.

已超出限制

很抱歉给您带来了不便。 如果您需要联系我们,请给我们发送电子邮件。

You're limited in the number of times you can sign in and refresh pages to look for an appointment.

This is the message you get when you have exceeded the limit. Just wait a few hours and you'll likely be able to log in.

My advice would be to log in, check for an appointment, then log out. Don't linger logged in. Check on a regular basis ( like a few times a day) but don't be obsessive about it otherwise you will get locked out.

I've heard it's limited to 10 per day, but I'm not sure that's true.

So having read through all this... I still don't understand what P4 is. Is it just the email telling you to register at ustraveldocs and sign up for an interview?

The P4 is just the email. It looks like this:

Dear Applicant, Petitioner, or Agent of record:
This office is ready to begin final processing of the immigrant visa applicant(s) named above in this case. Please follow these steps to schedule and prepare for your visa interview:
  1. Once you receive this notice, please visit http://ustraveldocs.com and register a document pick-up location by selecting the “Select Document Delivery Address” option in the Immigrant Visas section of the website. If you have already registered, you do not need to register again. Failure to register prior to your visa interview will result in delay of your visa application.
  2. Once registered, visit http://ustraveldocs.com and select “Schedule My Appointment” in the Immigrant Visas section of the website to schedule your visa interview appointment.
  3. Once you have scheduled your appointment, download the Immigrant Visa Instruction Packet (or K visa Instruction Packet for K visa applicants) and follow the instructions inside it to prepare the necessary documents for your visa interview. Instruction packets can be found by selecting “Prepare Documents” in the Immigrant Visas section of http://ustraveldocs.com.
  4. All applicants, regardless of age, must complete a medical exam and vaccination(s) with one of our designated panel physicians prior to the visa interview. (Please refer to the detailed instructions in the instruction packet.) Applicants must bring a copy of this letter with them to their medical exam.
  5. On the scheduled date and time, the applicant(s) should come to the Consulate with all required documents and a copy of this letter. Applicants who do not bring a copy of this letter may not be allowed into the consulate for their interview.
You must now register and schedule an appointment through CGI Stanley. Failure to follow these instructions will result in delay of your visa application.
Please do not reply to this email. Any replies sent will not be received. If you have any questions, please use the following web site to contact us: http://guangzhou.usembassy-china.org.cn/immigrant-visa-unit-question.html.When communicating with our office about your case, please provide your name and case number exactly as shown in this letter.
Sincerely,
Chief, Immigrant Visa Unit

do you have to schedule a appointment after making a payment??my fiancee thinks she is not ready to go to the appointment yet because she has not gotten all the documents ready yet

Yes, you must pay the fee prior to scheduling.

Register and pay the fee ASAP at and CITIC bank location.

Then, schedule an appointment when they become available.

You will have a month or so, at least, to get your documents in order prior to the interview. October is already done. November should open soon.
