P4 Question

Anyway...with date passed, i found more people haven't got P4,and more people i know they have to cancel their interview

Last Friday and Sat, 9 or 10th Aug, lots of people got their P3, If our P4 don't come, that means waiting P4 group would get heavy and bigger....that doesn't help even people who gets P3, that only means, they know they have to wait another one month....

Thanks for all the responses. It's been over a month now (sent P3 July 10th) and still waiting P4! >.< What's going on with embassy?!!

We sent out P3 on August 16. I will let you guys know when/if our P4 arrives, although by the looks of it, we'll be waiting for awhile. Also, we haven't scheduled our interview yet so we can be the control group.

I really wonder what they are doing over there. Seems like they are only sending out P3's... no P4's, no completed visa packets....They have been reopened for a month now!

My fiance and I sent in our packet 3 around the 15th of july. they updated our account on the 31st and said it is ready for interview but we did not get the email yet. I think she is in the same QQ group as coco. I read on one website that the consulate time is about 2 to 3 months from when they receive your 3 packet. I saw on another website that china and the U.S. have an agreement that china must hold visa apps for 3 months before they can be issued out. This whole thing is crazy and of course my wonderful fiance did not listen to me when I told her not to schedule an interview until we got the email, but all of these crazy women of ours get each other so worked up that they all scheduled interviews hahahaha. You have got to love them though.

Previous to the closure, time between P3 and P4 was about a week and they've basically stopped since the closure.

Circumstantial evidence (as if there were anything else to go on) suggests this is no longer valid, at least not for cases that have been forwarded from NVC to consulate electronically, i.e. "safefiled." Customs is not the reason for the delay.

We mailed our P3 8/8 and our case was updated 8/15. On 8/21, the consulate confirmed it had already received it (replying to an email I sent immediately after submitting P3). Today our case was updated again.

I would like to believe the 8/15 update reflected receipt of the P3 and this latest update means they will send P4 soon. Either that, or some bozo is bringing his kid to work and letting him fool around on the computer all day.

I am also a K-1 visa applicant, just got approved last August 19th and now waiting for our case number.

I joined a K-1 QQ group but I can't understand what are they talking about because I can't speak and read Chinese. I am a foreigner and decided to just apply for my visa here because I want to work while I am still waiting for my visa.I really need help from those people who have already almost through or even through with the process.

I confirmed that they received the P3 in several ways; tracking info, contacted embassy, contacted consulate and called DoS and all of them confirmed that they received our P3. We have been showing as AP in the system since the embassy received our package from NVC, I was assuming this was normal, yours does not show this when you check the status (https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx?)?

I am going to try contacting them again, still hoping we do not have to cancel our appointment just because they have not sent us an Email. This entire process is completely ridiculous.

Yes, both CGI and Consulate told us to cancel it and schedule again.

Still not sure why they would even list a holiday; buyer beware.

Does anyone have a change on their ustraveldocs site? Ours now has "CONTINUE " at the top and says an available appointment date. but still no email.And when you look at the next available date they show, it says no dates available , hahaha. and on the other site it shows it was updated yesterday china time

Yes, it appears CGI is making some enhancements to functionality. Continue lets you skip all of the pages to get to the schedule interview display. Doesn't mean anything about visa updates. Go to https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? for those.
