Hello.

On arrival with her immigrant visa to the U.S., how long does it take for my wife to receive her permanent residence card?

And also, does she have to have her own picture for the permanent residence card? Or will they take a picture of her?

One of the passport photos that you submit to at the visa interview will be used for the card. I read that it can take up to 3 weeks to get the card after arriving in the country on the CR-1 visa.

My GC took 7 weeks to arrive. My SS card took roughly same time after ultimately having to go down to the local SS office despite having checked the box for SSN on the DS-230.

My wife received her GC after 26 days of her arrival. USCIS will use one of the passport size photos that was submitted during the interview. Before receiving the GC, your wife will receive a welcome letter from USCIS, Mesquite, TX which will state that she will receive mail within 30 days (in real, it takes about a week from this mail to receive the GC).
