Finally an update from USCIS! Our case took over 9 months. Today we received an email stating that our case is now in 'post decision activity. Card production to follow.' We are so happy. It's been a long wait. Didn't have an interview. Our case was transferred from NBC to the Houston local office on June 27th. Priority date: October 19, 2012.

I hope all of you still waiting have positive updates soon!

I have no idea why they select some people for interviews and leave others. Obviously they won't try to interview everyone - it would just take too long. My guess is that they read through the files and think to themselves "humm, does this relationship seem totally legit?" I think a lot of people who meet online or who have only met in person once or even some who are from countries that don't normally get along with the USA are the ones who may be interviewed. It's really hard to say. Maybe they just toss every second petition into an interview waiver pile.

You were lucky. I wanted the interview. Waiting 10 months wasn't fun. But it's nice to know its on its way! :)

It was in acceptance the entire 9 month wait. I put in a service request 3 weeks ago. Not sure if it helped or it was just my time to be approved!
