Additional Processing

NVC received my file and gave me my case number yesterday, I asked if it had been sent to mexico yet, and she tellings no, it has additional processing?!!! should I be worried or does it just mean they are putting it into the system and have not sent it yet? I hope they are not going to pick it apart now!!!

Antone else been told they are waiting for addiotional processing at NVC?

Don't be worried. I recently got my case # from NVC and they said that it was still in administrative processing, meaning that they still are working on entering your information into the system. If you check this website, https://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker/Status.aspx? you can check the status of your case to see when it gets shipped. Also, keep calling if you are truly concerned. A lot of people had this concern though, and it's just NVC protocol to say such things.

Call the National Visa Center (NVC) in a few days to check on the status again. I called each day to get a daily update! Each person was very nice and helpful. Make sure they gave your the case number (starts with CDJ), your invoice number, and also the beneficiary ID. You need all three. We just went through all this last month and just got approved in Ciudad Juarez this past Thursday. I plan on writting up a review and what is required in a few days but will be happy to answer any question.
