Dear Guys,

I received my packet 3 four days ago.

I'm really confused about if i have to translate any documents to English before sending them back to the US Embassy.

Cause i read in some places that I need to translate all documents to English, While in others says that the native language of the country the embassy is in is acceptable.

Thank you guys in advance!

LOL yes even visa journey people do not agree... We just got our packet 3 too and while originally I was going to have my fiancé translate everything because of the embassy page here on VJ, I was surprised that the packet 3 contents said nothing about translations. If it was that important, I think they would mention it. They were very specific with everything else.

Unless they just do the translations as necessary during processing/AP and maybe it would speed up the process to have them already done for them.... ? ?

Visa journey people don't agree because some people don't know the answers :)

Translation (from Arabic) is not necessary for Cairo Embassy .

We did not translate a single document from Arabic. We double checked and triple checked websites and with the consulate before submitting. It was absolutely a non-issue.

I decided to translate the documents just to be on the safe side.

I'm almost done with the Packet 3 , hopefully the time till the interview won;t be so long
