Hi,

I filed my I-751 in April, and have setup my online USCIS account with email alerts, etc. I've noticed some users on this forum say they're able to determine when their case has been "touched", or given some kind of attention by the USCIS. When I login and check my case status, I can't see anywhere which looks like it would provide this information.

Could anyone point me in the right direction so I can find out when my case receives attention?

Thanks.

I would love to know the answer to this too. To me "touched" does not quite have the same connotation as, say, moved from "initial review" to "decision".

I think, most of the users are referring to Last Update Date (LUD). When you login, in your portfolio page there is column named 'Last Updated'. I'm guessing people are referring to that. But not sure.

My application was submitted on April 16, BIO on 5/17 it shows 05/02/2013 as Last Updated (I remember that was the day USCIS sent me Biometric Letter).

But I'm not sure about the accuracy of the online update system. A lot of time online system is not not updated with what is happening.

I would love to hear if anyone know about this too.

yes touch is the Last Update Date.

God, if that's true, our I-751 hasn't been touched since 08/16/2012, 2 days after USCIS received it and almost a full year ago!

Since then, we have received an RFE, responded to it, and have been transferred from the VSC to the Newark, NJ Field Office, but still have no resolution. For some people, the "Last Update Date" does not seem to be updated regularly, and from what I've read on these forums, the online case status and e-mail and text updates are not reliable either.
