Translations for k1? (Belgium)

Hey y'all!

First of all, if this is in the wrong part of the forum, sorry!

Anyway, after lurking for quite a bit, I decided to make my very first post.
So hello!

In short: I'm the Belgian beneficiary. Going for a k1 visa, NOA1 March 1st.

I've been searching all over, even in the country's portal, but I can't seem to find what I am looking for so (unless I missed it) I thought I might as well ask.

I am wondering if any (or all for that matter) documents need to be translated from Flemish/Dutch to English?

Usually most of the US Embassies allows documents in english or in the language where the US embassy is. I remember I did not translate nor a single document, but I did filled out my forms in english. If you go to the US embassy of your country you can check this info.

Aha, I have heard something similar like that.
But how does that work then once you have to present the whole package at POE, I mean I'm pretty sure not everyone knows Dutch.

Keep in mind the "audience" of your documents. While most staffers at a particular US embassy/consulate are likely multilingual, the folks back in the USCIS service centers likely speak English only.

The Form I-129F instructions (Page 2) say it best:

"Translations: Any document submitted to USCIS with information in a foreign language must be accompanied by a full English translation. The translator must certify that the English language translation is complete and accurate, and that he or she is competent to translate from the foreign language into English."

Consider using the forum's Google search function, looking for some of the numerous forum threads that have inquired on this often-asked subject.

My wife and I had to obtain numerous officially certified/notarized/translated documents during our immigration journey. In can be an expensive and arduous process, but the end results make it all worthwhile.

I will fill out the DS156 & all other forms in English, so that should be okay.
Correct me if I'm wrong but my birth certificate & police record, medical results will most likely be the only items that needs to get translated then, I suppose?
