Sheila-Todd,

Thank you for your earlier reply about DS230. I found the space assigned to my father's( beneficiary) signature in page 1, page 2 will remain unsigned until interview.

The other question I have is pertaining to the civil documents we need to provide. The initial step ( I 130) was easy, I provided my BC ( petitioner) and my parents divorce Certificate and his new marriage certificate with his new wife.

I know he will need his BC , PC and Army paperwork BUT do you think he needs to get additional copies for the documents I already submitted with I 130.

I looked at the US embassy in Algiers and things were not clear. I do not know where you get clear instructions on the post I-130 required documents. I am just trying to find out if he should order them and get additional translations.

Another technical question, I have two half brothers 23 and 25 yrs old. I am planing and able to sponsor my dad only at the moment, he might want to sponsor his wife or kids in the future but I am not sure . There is a question on DS230 asking who is accompanying him NOW or LATER. I am planing to put his wife's name on LATER , even though I don't know what his will take place in future. Do I need to add my half brothers on DS 230 for LATER as well, or is it relevant at this point.

I do not want to jeopardize my father's eventual intentions of petitioning for my half brothers. Leaving it blank wont matter at the interview ?

I am USC

06-20-13 Dad's I 130 sent

02-06-14 Text message NOA2 approved , waiting on hard copy

02-06-14 Email from USCIS , my file was transferred to NVC

02-10-14 NOA2 received

Alright , thanks

I thought, given that NBC sends the documents to NVC, no need to duplicate the first documents.

I guess I was wrong.

Can I send I864 , civil documents and DS230 in the same envelope given that the address is the same, or I have to separate them ? space them in time ?

  1. Send documents (Separate file but one mailing):
    • Affidavit of Support for main sponsor (me)
      • Form I-864
      • Letter of employment
      • Paystubs (6 months)
    • Affidavit of Support for co-sponsor (husband)
    • Joint tax return transcripts (3 years)

I've only been here in the us for a little over a year so i only have tax return scripts for one year, is that gonna be a problem? and i am making a decent amount of money, Is the affidavit of support for co-sponsor really required?
