Guys I have the chest xrays here, they are on a disc, it is definately the important envelope I have misplaced

But you don't get that on the same day. They wouldn't have just changed their courier system if they were going to start issuing visas the same day. It must be some new envelope, unless someone else can think what it would be.

Does your CEAC say issued?

But that envelope comes WITH the visa. Or so I thought. There's stories about the courier damaging the envelope and people had to send it back.

We need Nich-Nick or someone here to answer this.

From my experience (I have 2 K1 inteviews), though different US consulate, you would only get back your visa in the passport and the sealed envelope package a few days later after the K1 interview, not immediately on the spot.

Perhaps the Consulate officer was reminding you not to open the sealed envelope once you receive it in courier, and to be handed over at the port of entry?

Done with K1, AOS and ROC

The important envelope is delivered by courier. It would be your entire file to date. Petition, London forms, medical results. They haven't even issued your visa yet, so can't be handing over the files. They say the hand luggage bit about the x-ray even though nobody will ever look at that x-ray. Was it your original documents like birth certificates that he handed back? Order new ones.

I haven't been around and likely won't reply soon. Family death. But good luck. Positive it's not your file that was lost. It would be sizeable for your whole group.

thanks nick, i hope i am panicking over nothing, he handed back my original documents I have those here also, my mind is in such a mess right now trying to piece together what happened, I am praying he didn't hand me that envelope and just mentioned about the kids not ruining it but kept it himself... but somehow I have it in my head that he handed it to me as i was fumbling to put the birth certs back into a pocket in my pink folder, oh my what a mess I am in! Lets hope it does come in the mail, I suppose all I can do is wait for now and pray!

more importantly, very sorry to hear of your family bereavement :( Thoughts are with you <3

much love to you all for helping <3

I'm so glad you got approved! We had our interview today and also got an approval for k1 and found it strange that we were literally given nothing. The first window I was given the chest X-ray, the second lady asked a couple questions handed back my birth certificate and said we were approved! And told us where the exit was, so I'd try not to worry too much! We thought it was weird that we weren't given anything but maybe that will be some reassurance. My fiancé remembers her having an envelope she was writing on, but never handed it over and slipped it away her side, so are you positive it was something you were meant to take? Don't panic! And I will cross my fingers that our visas both arrive soon :)

Girl, you have to try this: write an email ro the embassy and explain every thing what really hapens . If you can in your country take a police report wich is sad that you lost it. Try every thing you can. In this case you have nothing to lose. :(

Oh gosh in that case I think you're fine! The lovely interview lady we had held up a plastic envelope and said this is what your visa will arrive in, inside this there will also be a sealed envelope, KEEP IT SAFE and DONT OPEN IT! and then tucked it away, so maybe your interviewer just didn't explain things as clearly, and was simply telling you for the future, not for that exact moment! I honestly think you've not lost anything! Xxx

oh what a relief, I think I am finally starting to believe this is all ok now, and I can't thank you enough, as you well know this whole process is so stressful and I always believed I would be denied so getting approved was just magical but i think I just still feel like something will go wrong maybe that why I am panicking just pure disbelief I have been so lucky!!
I saw someone had their interview on thursday and got a phone call yesterday about delivery of theirs so maybe we will get calls at the end of the week crashsle :) xXx
