Hello all,

My husband received his CR-1 visa this past December, and now my stepsons have decided they would like to pursue their residencies as well and come live with us. As I plan our course, I am confused about what to do about the I-864 this time around. With my husband it was very straightforward as my income alone qualified to sponsor him. However, with the addition of his four sons to the mix, I am unable to do a stand-alone sponsorship. If we were to include my husband's income from the job he has had since January we would clear the gap; but of course, since it's a new job, we don't have a tax return showing our combined income.

Any suggestions on what the best method is to proceed? Will they accept the documentation from my employer and my tax returns along with a letter of employment and pay stubs from my husband's job? Or should we just use my income and seek a joint sponsor in the family for the petitions my income won't cover? Without his income I am only about $6,000 shy of the guidelines, so I want to find the clearest road ahead throught the RFE minefield. Help?
