The bus driver was 64 years old, they would have wore him out if he tried to intervene. He called for help, which if I read the article correctly, that was what he was supposed to do. If the drug reason wasn't there and they just wailed on him because he was white, I would agree with you. But it's not.

oh BS marvin. 1 on 1 the drug excuse may fly. 3 on 1 for several minute. hell no. he could have stopped the bus & went back there...yanno kinda like he did after the 3 were out of breath from beating on the little guy.

Read my last post. You think this is special? I've seen this on black folks all the time. More than just three.

Here's the double standard problem. If this was 3 white kids beating a black kid, there would be all sorts of posts here with outrage about this being a race based beating before any facts or evidence were even presented. Since it's 3 black kids beating a white kid, it's just your everyday beating and race plays no part in it.

IMO I think the kind got his a$$ beat for snitching out the other kids. Simple as that. I think if the kid was black, he would've gotten the same beating, maybe worse.

ETA: I hate to do this, but the same thing would've happened to a white kid in Sanford if he jumped on GZ. He would've been just as dead as TM is.

1st there is no such thing as a 'fair' fight. but, 3 on 1 coming up behind him & jumping him is coordinated beat down hate crime.

If it were 3 white dudes beating one white dude for snitching, what would you call it then?

If three white kids did the same thing for the same reason, I wouldn't call it a hate crime.

And I agee with this statement.

But this one I don't because restraint is used when it's a white person. http://news.smashpipe.com/?f=LHuOOqSP2iM&e=1&z=300

Talk about apples and oranges. Jesus.

I am using this as an example. Not comparing the two cases.

I bring this up because remember a week ago when that guy was shot at 17 times in his driveway for making a lunging movement? This kid was more of a threat than that old man ever was, and all they did was tase him.

I wanted to start this in another thread, but I'm so tired. I just threw it out there.

I think hate crime is reserved for doing something to someone based on their inherent self with no other reason. These guys were beating this kid up because he rated on them. Not like that's ok but I don't think it qualifies as a hate crime just because you think it was hateful based on the violence on the attack.
