Depending on the school and the need we might have to do to buses as we do with major urban events....... turn them into armed encampments to insure order.

This is what is required even on school buses to maintain the order we took for granted once-upon-a-time.

cause i grew up going to church with a married, straight, southern baptist deacon who couldn't keep his hands off of the little girls on their way to sunday school. turns out he terrorized his nephew as well and his neice. over a period of ten years.

also had more than a couple issues in my early teens with creepy, touchy feely, let me give you a ride home, youth pastors and 'mentors'.

they go unchecked in the church scene because they're people we're supposed to trust and often they're married and just 'have a real soft spot for the kids'.

i have had a hard time in my life trusting christian men. that's a problem for me because all of the males in my family are christian. i went through a time when i couldn't look my own dad in the eye and he had done nothing wrong. my mom pointed this out to me when i was in my early twenties so i decided to learn about pedophila, as well as jim jones and other cult leaders, in order to try and reteach myself and learn why these people do what they do. has zero to do with homosexuality.

What can one do?

There is a lot to be done, the problem is where to begin. You have to raise kids the right way first and foremost. The biggest issues start from the home and amplify once they leave the doorstep. If you got a kid whose mom is working all the time, or a father whos absent, or either parent who doesn't take the time to rasie the kids right you will have this issue. But high school violence isn't stuck to just black kids, white kids deal with it as well. Look at the case where that kid brought a knife to school and stabbed a bully to death. Or the hockey kid who beat some teen for a hot minute because he iced the goalie. Or the hockey game that both side jumped in and made it a brawl. There is going to be fights in school, some fair some not. Sometimes kids are just kids who do stupid shyt. Sometimes it's much deeper than that, but it's scary that when it comes to "urban youth" the worst is always expected.

Basically you have to fix all of society to keep a kid from getting beat down in front of their current "care taker." I dunno I like the idea of something like a very mild flash bang to instantly disorient the attackers (I suppose by standers as well) so that they can be subdued.

I don't have the optimism that you do about being able to root cause these particular three boys situation within several lifetimes if not more. I do agree, working towards the root cause will reduce these numbers and that is no bad thing. However, it worries my that a kid is at the mercy of other kids on this level with no hope of safety.

It is, this is key for any parent. Doesn't matter what color you are. But there are quite a few cases where the kids have good loving parents and still do horrible things. You do the best you can and pray your child doens't grow up to be a sociopath.
