The three 15-year-old boys have been arrested on aggravated assault charges.

Police say the youths attacked the 13-year-old after he told officials at their dropout prevention school that one of them had tried to sell him drugs.

Moody, who retired two weeks after the attack, says he's still haunted by it and has had sleepless nights.

"I wanted to help him so bad," he said. "I wanted to help him."

Ok, first of all I can't see the race of kids since I am at work and we can't look at the video, all I can see is the text which says nothing about the race. Second, they didn't beat him up because he was white, they beat him up because he said the one kids tried to sell him drugs. If you're going to have this talk with me, come correct or stay home.

how about i get in your grill. here is the play-by-play. 3 pos hood rats sitting behind a small white kid jumped the kid on the bus. 2 of them were stomping on him from different seats (one to the head & one to the body while the kid was trying to hide under the seat) during the assault the black bus driver does nothing because its a white kid.

And second, I think the bus driver should have intervened before letting that child get beat within an inch of his life. Happy now?

Plus, this isn't a race issue. The reason for the assault was posted in the article. If that wasn't in there, I would say those kids should be charged with a hate crime and the bus driver for letting it happen.

i say it. the driver should have slammed the brakes on & intervened immediately...not minutes later over a radio. no i'm not happy. it was a hate crime. call it one.

Yeah but if he hit the brakes and one of the attackers got hurt there would have been pending litigation against the bus driver or something ridiculous.

1. I sympathize with the driver. It was a bad situation. He was probably scared.

2. I fail to see it being a hate crime.

3. I'm not sure what can be done to eliminate the possibly of this happening unless all bus drivers are martial arts trained. Which obviously isn't going to happen.

When I read the article, I thought the bus driver sounded pretty lame but I feel different after watching the video. Those were pretty large guys giving a viscous beat down. I'd like to believe I'd do something if I was the bus driver, but until I'm put in that exact situation, I'm not going to judge him. We probably would have just had a 60+ year old man taken to the hospital as well.

The bus driver was 64 years old, they would have wore him out if he tried to intervene. He called for help, which if I read the article correctly, that was what he was supposed to do. If the drug reason wasn't there and they just wailed on him because he was white, I would agree with you. But it's not.

Where have you been? No body fights fair anymore. Go to worldstar.com. You'll see it black on black getting jumped, men and women, sometimes 3-4 guys on one dude. It's a shame actually.
