Just so we can get it all out there.

This is really easy.

The answer is not to change the culture, because whites have the same thing. Look at honey boo, look at any RH show. Look at the tv and movies. It's the same thing, but when it's the white culture you can tell the difference.

The way blacks can rise up is make the playing field level. Fund schools the same way, treat folks as equals, make sure they get the same opportunities as those who work hard. Promote education.

If we are going to work with each other to make it better, then open the doors.

Success, as has been pointed out many times on this board, has nothing to do with skin color. Black immigrants have half the number of out-of-wedlock births as black Americans. They have higher graduation rates, higher college attendence rates than white americans, higher incomes than black americans. Is it because their skin is a different shade from the ghetto trash being raised in our streets or because they come here with a completely different set of values?

A few peeks into the differences between the American-born black community and black immigrants who come here to work and be part of society:

BOWLING GREEN, O.—African immigrants in the United States are generally more educated and earn higher salaries than immigrants from elsewhere. The African immigrants' success, however, depends on what country they come from, according to a Bowling Green State University study.

Nearly six years ago, Dr. Kefa M. Otiso, an associate professor of geography originally from Kenya, became interested in how the nearly 1.5 million other African immigrants are “faring in the U.S., and how they are being incorporated into American society.”

His study shows that, overall, African immigrants perform better than the rest of the U.S. population in education and employment.

“Many African immigrants are successful because of their good work ethic, focus and a drive to succeed that is honed by the limited socioeconomic opportunities of their native African countries,” Otiso said.

The average annual personal income of African immigrants is about $26,000—nearly $2,000 more than that of workers born in the U.S. This might be because 71 percent of the Africans 16 years and older are working, compared to 64 percent of Americans, Otiso said.
