Are you telling me the black kids do not have same opportunity as any other kid?

What makes you think the fields are no level for everyone?

During my school days, I have worked for financial aid dept and I never remember more aide was given to non black kids.

Marvin – look at international students / immigrants… they come from various countries with limited family in US, limitation in funding.. etc and they still make it, so why do you think black kids cannot?

I do not buy that black kids do not have the same opportunity as anyone else..

Where have you been?

I've posted several links about the break down in school systems: http://www.rethinkingschools.org/archive/26_02/edit262.shtml

My own school district of Normandy lost it's accredidation about a month ago. Francis Howell, which is the white district, doesn't even want those kids there. They had a townhall meeting to tell them that.

Teachers in black schools are less qualified and paid less: http://www.youthlaw.org/publications/yln/2012/apr_jun_2012/new_national_data_shows_racial_disparities_in_school_discipline/

Students of Color Attend Schools With More Inexperienced and Lower Paid Teachers

The CRDC data show that within diverse districts, schools serving the most Black and Latino students are nearly twice as likely to employ teachers who are in their first or second year as teachers. Additionally, teachers in elementary schools serving the most Black and Latino students are paid an average of $2,251 less per year than their peers in other schools in the same district who serve the fewest Black and Latino students.

If a fight breaks out in a black school, those kids are locked up and get criminal records. If it's in a white school mediation is required and no one gets a criminal record. I posted the link backing this up from my home computer since certain things I can't see here.

You didn't see it because you don't look for it. We have to live with it.

How do you propose that happens?

'They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk... Why you ain't Where you is What he drive Where he stay Where he work Who you be... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. ;< /SPAN> And then I heard the father talk. Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of ####### coming out of your mouth. In fact, you will never get any kind of job making a decent living. People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around. The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids. $500 sneakers for what?? And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics. I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit. Where were you when he was 2?? Where were you when he was 12?? Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?? And where is the father?? Or, who is his father? People putting their clothes on backward, isn't that a sign of something gone wrong? People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something? Or, are you waiting for Jesus to pull his pants up?

These are the prob... have you ever heard the community leaders like Al or Jesse talk about fixing these things? They would be out on the street in full force to blame everyone and everything and cry racism.

I am not telling from some research, I am telling you from my personal experience working in the college, I never ever remember declining financial aid to student if a student was capable and demonstrated he was doing his due diligence.

Personally I would not be very convinced by the article from NYCL, even in the worst case scenarios lot of the immigrants come from even worst schools and they still manage to do better why is that?

Lot of these immigrants come from schools which has no labs, no facilities, 60+ students in one class are you telling me blacks are treated even worse than that?

It would have to be AA.

you got it right it would have to be AA they will have to fix their own communities.

The problem is your thinking. Not every black person thinks or acts like this, but you think they do.

About a week ago, I posted about a meeing in Chicago to talk about the gun violence and problems within the black community. Al and Jesse were there and they went over the various issues that plague them there, no finger pointing at GZ or the Tea Party. They stuck the blame on us. Yet, for much glee and gloating folks do when these articles are posted, there wasn't a peep out of you or anyone else. The few that did post, still have the same nasty attitude towards it as if it meant nothing.

I speak proper english at all times, yet the ones that use slang on here, you aren't correcting them when they talk to me. Because that's acceptable.

So since you didn't see it, it doesn't exist. Don't challenge the source, challenge the information. Something tells me I can posts hundreds of links from anywhere and you wouldn't believe it.

Well when you start threads like "condemned to die because he is black," people might not take you seriously when you post something valid.

It was the name of the thread. I didn't change the title to reflect that. But like I said, nothing I post will change certain people minds.

Marvin's been taking lessons from Gary and AJ.

I don't think AJ wants people to take him seriously unless it has to do with Pakistanis causing $hit for India. I could be wrong though.

I get that too. I was just joking about Marvin. In his defense, that was the title of the article, he didn't twist it to say what he wanted it to.

Marvin – the thought was not mine but of Bill Cosby and if you claim he cannot see the problems within the black community than I don’t have any better argument.

Al and Jesse might have had a meeting in Chicago I am not disputing that but every opportunity they get to blame things on the race they are the first ones.

If ppl talk to you in slang it would be upto you if you would want to respond back to them or not by responding you make it acceptable not me.

I'm tempted to start a poll:

How do blacks rise up and overcome:

1 . Change their culture

2. Everyone else changes their culture

3. A combination of 1 and 2

4. They can't

Just so we can get it all out there.

My problem isn't with Bill, I agree with what he says. My issue is you only show up to put blacks down. Even in your post, you say might have. Like it's not even true. You don't want to believe it.

If it's a negative article about blacks, your attendance is 100%. Where are you when it's something positive?

5. Move back to Africa. I saw that on "Do the Right Thing" last night. The end of that movie is jacked up.
