i understand that women are not flavors of ice cream.

i'm sure no one wants us ladies to start stirring up the racial stereotypes concerning men's sexuality and girth. ahem.

I was born in the 70's. Since I went to a mixed school with black and white kids, and I wasn't your typical black child(loved to read, hated sports) white girls were more attracted to me than black ones. My mom was scared to death I was going to hook up with some white girl and get shot.

i've been on the other side of that, contempt, i would call it. i don't think i ever dated a black guy whose mother (or grandmother) approved of me. actually, i had a very close girl friend in middleschool, her grandparents took almost a full year to accept me in their house.

Wow, from what I saw it was easier for me to bring them home than for her to take me into their house. Guess it cuts both ways.

They probably didn't want people that smell like wet dogs in their house.

Bawaaaa..That's funny. My mentor in my first job was an old school black guy. He told me quite serious one day ...Don't marry a damn knotty hair white woman you will be sorry...

Odd thing is he was right.

i have very, very racially sensitive parents. they were probably nicer to my black friends than they were my white friends. at the time it was super embarrassing. but i was one of the few white girls in school who didn't get in any sort of trouble simply for hanging out with black guys. if such a thing was even suggested (and it was, by friends' parents) my mom & dad would go off..

hahaha. EXACTLY!

My real dad was laid back about it, my mother was on pins and needles about it all the time. I'm the only child so she didn't want me being strung up for it.

Did a tour in Yokosuka, Japan from 2008 to 2011. You can say what you want, but I know from personal experience, if you're white, you much more likely to be accepted than if you're black. I dated a Japanese woman for almost a year. Her mom was cool with me, but the rest of the family didn't even want to meet me. They felt shameful about her dating a black man.

That would have more to do with the fact that you are a soldier, than you being black. After WW2 many Japanese women of a certain ilk chased after American soldiers as they could buy them things that a Japanese male could not at that time.

Pathetic. You googled gaijin. Wow! You have no understanding of the dynamics here. Go and fixate your prejudices elsewhere , please.

It would be way, way more pathetic if it were not so dead on accurate huh. Try your bait and switch on someone else.
