It didn't sound that bad to me. My fiance was in same boat, never been to a Dr in her life before the exam. I would just ignore it, it's hard to really know with out the tone of voice but sometimes people just take things the wrong way. It will only get worse in the US because here it is crazy weird that you haven't seen a doctor, I sure wish I had never seen a doctor. Good luck with the visa, don't sweat the small stuff!

i feltl a bit humiliated during my physical exam today. i could be wrong or just been sensitive but it made me cry. i was not able to hold back my tears in McDonald near St Luke's clinic. it started when she asked me about vaccination and i said i didn't received any vaccination since birth.
doc. how come?
me. i spent my childhood in rural and during my 1st grade at school the nurse didn't gave me any shot.
doc. oh! its good thing that you were able to study( in sarcastic way)mabuti nman at nakapagaral ka.....who is your petitioner?
me. i said his name my fiance
doc. how did you meet?
me. through chat
doc. ang lalakas ng loob nyo! you were all courageous(sarcastic way) then i think she ask how do we communicate and i answered by chat then she said aba magaling! then physical exam....
i wanted to say something but i think of my fiance and just forget my pride.
NOTE: im just sharing

Sometimes ya just have to vent to get past things. Thankfully the medical is just a moment in time, as is anything is this process... keep your eye on your goal - you and your fiancé being together, married and happy!

Do a favor for your kababayan who are following in your footsteps: email a complaint to St. Lukes about the doctor's unprofessional behavior.

Was it the doctor with short hair? just ignore her. I already sensed that doctors here at intimidating. So what I did upon entering the door was to compose my posture with good body language. Straight body if you may call it.

I think we did the physicals on the same day. I'm here right now at SLEC for my second day. Still waiting though I guess I'm too early lol.

Hi,

I'm not sure if room no. 6 has the same designated doctors. She may sound a little blunt but i did not feel intimidated. She sound professional and i even had a chance to cracked a joke and she smiled a little bit... But over all experience during physical is good.. and made it out in 10mins. I told my Fiance i felt that she doen't want to even look at my body.. hehehe.. she spent only less than a minuted...to look at it..lol

Hey it's just my thought and experience.

I think the doctors are like that because of the sheer number of folks they screen (and yes even still they dont have the right to do this)...my doctor was sort of pissed off and told the people sitting beside me outside his office to keep quiet. Thanks to VJ, I am prepared that I have to get nakey in front of him in advance otherwise my reaction would be, "EXCUSE ME? " lol

On a side note: Im sure some of my friends of the third sex would love to be examined by my doctor as he does look like "Sir Chief" lol

The nurses especially the ones who did my vitals and immunization were really friendly.
