Hello!

My fiancee & her daughter arrived last night with JFK as the POE. I am under the impression that the immigration agents there kept the large packet that she received from the US consulate in Kiev. We have both of their small white I-94 forms & her colored Visa & both of their passports.

Does this sound correct?

jebs,

The large packet is always collected by the immigration officer at the POE. The I-94 cards are exactly what you will need for continuing the process, so be careful with them.

Congratulations on your reunion!

yes. correct. Keep those I-94s safe because they cost $$ to replace.

"The fact that we are here today to debate raising America’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies."

Yes, that is exactly what is supposed to happen. The POE will forward the envelope to the immigration center that will process the AOS applications for your 'wife' and 'daughter' when they are submitted so they can match up the files correctly. Keep the I-94s safe because you will need them for the AOS application. Congratulations!

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”
