I am sorry actually. I meant "illegal aliens" IMO immgrants are legal, I am married to one. Illegals are not "immigrants" except in the broad generic sense. My bad. To me it would be like saying a drug dealer is an "illegal pharmacist"

I would say everyone had a hand in building this country, I would say that blacks had an equivilent proportion of it. Much less on things like railroads, perhaps more in areas where their low cost labor was valuable. You aren't the lone ranger Marvin.

I ate dinner tonight with a woman I respect very much. I can look her in the eye and see a lot of things there. She isn't 94. she is 77. She remembers seeing her friend "misha" get killed. "Misha" is the short name for Mikhail which is the Russian version of Micheal. Misha is the Russian equivilent of "Mikey"

So Mikey and Rasia and some other children were playing and some men came. One of them picked up Mikey by the feet and held him upside down. Then he started swinging him around and then when he had him spinning real good he slammed Mikey's head into the stone wall of the building, spilling his brains all over. Mikey was dead, of course. The men then told the other children "Go home you stinking Slavic communist pigs" No one did anything to the men, they walked away, no doubt doing that to more children.

It was 1943. Mikey was 6. Raisa, my mother in law, was 7. Her father had already been killed, her home was destroyed, her city was destroyed, when the war was over 22 million slavic people had been killed...beaten, shot, poisoned, starved, beseiged. Leningrad had a pre-war population of 5 million. At the end of the war there were 250,000 people living there. More than 1 million died in one winter. The lucky ones escaped by walking a cross a frozen lake in arctic conditions. You want to tell my wife about a "trail of tears" ??? You want to tell my wife about being hated for her "race" ??? You want to tell my MIL?

There is a ravine in Kiev, now a beautiful park. It is actually a mass grave. At the peak of the occupation 30,000 people a week were killed there, dumped there. When you walk there you are alking on the grave of a million people, Marvin. That is more than twice the number of Amricans killed in the entire war...from ONE city.Very few of them are soldiers.

Marvin, I have to be honest, I do not have the wherewithall to read the plaques in the parks in this country, it is scary.

No one is taking away anyones contribution to this country Marvin, but all of our ancestors were in it together and all of them had hardships. I will reckon that my maternal grandfather, born in 1892 in Cleburne, TX had no easier time plowing his fields than your grandfather did.

Actually, I kind of like that. Has a nice ring to it.

We could call murders "illegal executioners", and thieves "illegal repo men".

Could be a great improvement to the language, if you think about it.
