I don't know that you built the Nation. You sure helped, but then lots of people did. You know the Chinese, American Indians, Irish all were everything but slave labor. The Chinese in the west, that was brutal man.

The Chinese seem to do fine these days. The American Indians, not so much. But what do you expect when the government gives them everything? Kip used to have some crazy stories about how all that works up in Alaska.

and don't forget the american Indianian

or my people that came to Georgia as indentured servants (slaves) from debtors prisons

Blacks hardly have a lock on the trials of their peoples past, although arguably lead the pack in long term discrimination

Exactly. If you took us out of the equation, who would do the heavy lifting?

My point is that during this time, we worked harder, did more with less, than any other race combined. The Indians were all but wiped out(sadly, this is their land) the chinese, when did they come into play? I don't know so I can't speak on it.

So it kind of pisses me off that we are called lazy.

When was all this? 150+ years ago? If someone called me or my ethnicity lazy, I wouldn't start going on about all the work we did 150+ years ago. Not sure how that's relevant to today.

There are lots of Chinese-Jamaicans living in that Canadian city north of Detroit. They are an interesting bunch.

Windsor?

Building the railroads in the west was a big part. Fun fact, the Chinese were always tasked with handling the nitroglycerin since it was so unstable. If it blew up, who cares right? Their women were basically sex slaves. Considered somewhere around the value of a dog. Well a dog addicted to opium.

The Irish built most of the canals in the north. To say blacks did all the heavy lifting in America is no accurate.

I said American Indian. Unless American Indianian is something i don't know about?

I think part of the problem is blacks had a stronger sense of identity ( and still do) and so struck/strike an attitude. Asians on the whole believe in the group rather than the individual. This is what gets up the noses of similarly individualistic white Americans, and explains why certain males actively seek women from more submissive cultures( they learn their mistake after marriage) Womenz unite.

everything but, slave labor. everything but..

A rose by any other name Val. Many of the Chinese were not paid. Only fed. And they were sold into labor by Chinese slum lords or "importers" who controlled them until their death. It's not a competition Val, its all horrible.

Yet seem to be doing fine now. Except of course the native Americans who are on eternal government assistance.

My point is when does it stop. What do we have to do to become equals? We were brought over here against our will and made slaves. Less than property. Then we get released and now get to be segregated because whites don't want us in the same breating space. Less than human. Then that gets taken away and now we have Affirmative Action, which means most people think we can't make it without help even though we've gone through hell here and back. And now, it's you need to change your culture, your whole identity in order to fit in with folks that fear and hate you.
