Thanks Happytobe! You have been with me every step of the way. I remember all the guidance you gave me on getting married in Morocco. Someday soon your husband will be here in the US with you and I'll be asking you questions about getting ready for the interview! I have a feeling it won't be too long until your husband is here with you - and I will be celebrating that day right along with you!

I guess I am so paranoid about making a mistake somewhere in this packet. The process is difficult enough and if I forget something or make some mistake it makes it even worse. But after proofreading it for the millionth time I am going to say it is done. I just have to get my husband's signed G325A and it is going out via Federal Express to the Arizona Service Center. I know that we will still have a long way to go - but the day I send that petition out I am going to feel like throwing a little party for myself!

I think it looks good. I had a sentence at the end of mine to the effect that I certified all photocopies were true and correct copies of original documents, and original documents would be provided upon request.

If you have any strong points you want to highlight, consider whether there's a quick way to call attention to them in the cover. For instance, I had lots of in-person time with my husband and several American friends/family who had also spent time with him. I didn't make the cover letter any longer or state that in a paragraph, but I slipped it in my bullet points of enclosed evidence. So, for instance, I wouldn't say, "Copies of boarding passes," - I would say, "Copies of boarding passes for Petitioner's six visits to Morocco," and would put my parents' boarding passes on a separate line. That way, right there, at a glance, before even opening my packet a reader could see I had been there multiple times and my parents had been there. Or, "Sample photographs of Petitioner and Beneficiary and their families and friends," or, "Sample photographs from Petitioner's six months in Morocco," or, "Affidavit of Jane Smith, Petitioner's friend and maid of honor at wedding in Morocco," or, "Sample chats from August, 2009 to present," or whatever. I don't remember anymore exactly what I said, but I'm just throwing a few ideas out there. It's a small thing, and maybe no one even read it, but I wanted to use every opportunity I could to persuade whoever had that file in their hands that we were a long-term, in-person couple with integrated families. That was our narrative and that's what I wanted to reinforce every step of the way.

Personally I don't think you need to send itineraries, unless you're missing boarding passes or your passport stamps aren't clear. I had lost one of my boarding passes for one trip, so I submitted copies of what I had along with an itinerary and luggage receipt for that trip.

Anyway, I think it's good and to the point! My suggested tweaks are just that, suggestions and tweaks. :) Good luck! I remember how exciting it was to put it all together and send it out.

Abbi.... don't worry about making a mistake. We had 2 with NVC.... sure they delayed the case a little bit, and I had some tense moments, but as my husband (and many other husbands and wives say) "In God's time." A mistake isn't the end. Sure it would be inconvenient, but with or without them the end result is what matters. You and your husband will be together again before you know it, and you'll be laughing at the thought of worrying so much. I say that as much for you as for myself because I won't be able to breath properly until he is here. I know I'll be laughing at myself, hopefully sooner than later, but it will happen and that's what matters. goofy.gif
