How did your interview go?

BTW for Pakistan - Police certificates are no longer needed, thats what the NVC told me on the phone and they showed me where it states that on the website as well. Did they ask from you a police certificate?

Hi you guys, I posted earlier that my husband got his interview letter finally, and is scheduled to be interviewed the 22nd of this month!
We are very nervous but relieved that the day has finally come and don't want to mess things up.

I just wanted to clarify what docs he has to bring? It gives details in the packet of course but sometimes they are so unclear
that I always find myself needing to double check.

One page says this:

*** IMPORTANT *** Interview Reminders

================================================================================

· Applicants may need to bring an additional police certificate to the interview. If the following three items are all true, the applicant needs to bring an updated police certificate to the interview:

· He or she is more than 16 years old;

· He or she obtained a police certificate more than one year ago; and · He or she still lives in the country that issued the police certificate.

· Bring this interview letter to the medical exam. Bring this letter to the medical examination because the panel physician may need to review it before performing the examination.

· Bring updated Federal income tax information to the interview. If a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of Support) and provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal income tax extension in lieu of a Federal income tax return, bring the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return to the visa interview.

-------------------------------------------------------

Ok, so basically he has to bring the same police certificate that he submitted already? He has to bring all the forms he previously submitted? I told him to bring those forms in a folder even if they are not required, just to be on the safe side.

Also, confused about where it tells him to bring the Federal Income Tax. Now, the Affidavit of Support was the form I had my friend (who is an engineer) fill out for us so he lent us his tax forms and filled out the form, since my job salary isn't very much. Do I send my husband the I-864 my friend filled out so he can bring it to the interview? I will have to mail him the whole packet oversees? :\ or can I just scan the filled out I-864 to him, but what about the last portion that my friend signed? Won't they know that's a copy ? since we already sent those before. I am very confused on this part and would really appreciate your help.

Please reply back soon as the interview date is just around the corner now! appreciate it so much.

Document Code Status definitions is the key to telling if you need a document.

For example - "correspondence instructions" has a "C" under "document status". If you look under "document code status definitions" "C" = "you must bring this entire interview letter to interview."

Another example is the status "Y" which translates to "the NVC sent this form or document to the US Embassy or Consulate" meaning they have the document therefor you do not need to bring it.

Hope that helps you decipher the rest of it. Most of what you posted, they are stating they have. not all pages are in your post.

I did send my friends tax forms already because he is the one whose tax forms I used for the AFFIDAVIT OF SUPPORT, since he is an engineer and I don't have a high paying job. I already

submitted all his docs and that part was done and approved. However, what I'm not understanding is that are they asking us to submit those docs again? for my hubby to bring them with him
to the interview? because it says this on page 2:

Bring updated Federal income tax information to the interview. If a sponsor filed an I-864 (Affidavit of
Support) and provided the NVC with proof of an IRS Federal income tax extension in lieu of a Federal
income tax return, bring the sponsor's most recent Federal income tax return to the visa interview.
?
==What is this? So like, to my understanding...since my friend submitted his tax forms for the AFFIDAVIT, do I just scan my hubby my friends MOST RECENT FEDERAL INCOME TAX RETURN? please help me clarify. I'm so confused on this part :\
