They asked my fiancee for my birth cert, passport page, and divorce decree....didn't ask for cenomar. All she had for id was a voter id and her passport/visa/ Good to go.......

Except now she's scared !@#@%less to come here. All the sex trafficking, expenses, how it's almost impossible to become a citizen, and what not.

How is it that she came to think that attaining US citizenship is "almost" impossible? If you live in a large city, travel to the USCIS office and inquire as to when the next citizenship ceremony is and take her there. She could see 20 -50 people (if not more) taking their oath to citizenship. Once she sees that, she will certainly change her mind.

With this all being new for her, and we base our opinions on what we see and from our background we "digest" things differently. I am sure once she gets settled in she will do just fine. But, it's up to you to make her feel safe and comfortable which I am sure you already knew. Just saying.

I noticed this thread was started on 2013. My fiancé has Visa in hand and scheduled her CFO online for this Thursday in Cebu. Has the times changed from 2013 and people lining up at 6am. Her appointment confirmation says 2pm to 5pm and to arrive 1 1/2 hours early. Is this completely accurate or does she need to arrive much much earlier as people are talking about in this thread. Can anyone who has been through this in the last few months share when they arrived. Thank you

Look at the bottom of you CFO online appointment confirmation (and the top of the email). On ours it says "Note: you must be at the CFO Cebu Office at exactly 8:00am for the registration procedure."

My fiancee was there a bit earlier than 8am (but I don't think 6am). She did the registration stuff, and I recall she was released at around 10:30am and told to be back around 1pm. She went and ate lunch. After lunch was the US seminar portion (this is the 2:00 - 5:00pm session) and possibly some other stuff.

Her appointment was late June 2015.

She said her one on one counselor was really laying the law down about getting a driver's license and citizenship test...telling her how hard they are. I explained to her is wasn't as doomsday as they made it seem. They had her thinking the test was impossible....she'll be good. I will take her to one when she comes.

they are just trying to scare her..

I just got my US citizenship. Very easy exam/interview. As long as you meet the required residency and all requirements, everything will be fine. It took me 4 months for the whole process but had 3 weeks delay in between because I went to the Philippines for vacation so they delay my Oath taking until I came back to the US. but of course, it depends to where you live, if your USCIS office is busy or not.

Why didn't CFO suggest the x wife to show up in CFO so she could give her side of why the marriage didn't work?

IF the previous wife died, Did CFO suggest to have the body dug up, and a have another autopsy performed ?

No but they do want a copy of the death certificate.

That is something that annoys me about CFO for sure, that "fear of god" #######, even back when there was PRISM they did that stuff, trying to scare the Filipina. They talk out their A$$ for sure as what they say is so far from reality it is funny.

.... driver's license is easy as long as you know how to drive... LOL!! I will let you know on citizenship shortly.

I'm not worried in the least, fiancée seems fine now...I warned her ahead of time how they can be. She said they couldn't have cared less about our relationship and didn't ask anything....just warned her about that stuff. The cost of living, license, and citizenship.

I knew she was going to be like that after reading stories on here.

Has your fiancee been married?

What proof can you provide to prove your fiance is single?

I, the US Petitioner have never been married. So what kind of proof should I give my fiancee to prove that I am single?

Or will they only ask for proof that I am single if I have been married before?

Thanks in advance!
