Hi everyone

I'm hoping you could help me with something that is on my mind. I've had the K1 Visa interview and everything was in place apart from Police Certificates I had to obtain from China and Japan. I've organised to get the China Police Certificate and I have a 2008 Japan Police Certificate which states I do not have any criminal history since residing in Japan (1 year). I have forwarded this Certificate onto the US Consulate and she seemed quite happy about this and did not say anything about the year on it. Because it's a few years old it's bugging me a little....I don't want to apply for another if I don't really have to because it will set me back another 2-3 months as I want to head over the USA to be with my fiance as soon as I can and get married.

I have not been back to Japan since 2008....my question is would you think I would have to have a more current/recent Japan Police Certificate??

Thanks in advance for your help people!! goofy.gif

I emailed the woman taking care of my file and she said the Japan Certificate should be alright because I haven't been back since....so hope this will help people who may be in the same situation as myself.
