My fiancé is coming here on a tourist visa. We are getting married the first week he is here and then applying for adjustment of status. Does anyone know how long it will take for him to get his green card to work?

You do know that what you are doing is fraud right? To marry on a tourist visa is fine, BUT to do it and adjust status is illegal when it's planned ahead.

You will not get much help here on VJ since its against the forum rules.

Btw, why does it say K1 on your profile if you are doing it on a tourist visa?

I was told to NOT do that. If you come in on a tourist visa and get married with a view to staying it will cause you problems. You probably need to get married abroad then file for a married visa, IR1/CR1 I think it is.if you do what you are stating then they will say you told us you were coming as a tourist but you had other intentions. take proper advice before going down your proposed route.

Please read the box at the top of this guide which says 'BE WARNED':

If the route you are suggesting was valid, a lot of us would have followed that rather than be separated from our loved ones for months.

What you are asking about is visa fraud and it is against the term of using this site to offer aide to people doing anything that is illegal

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.
