What is the best way to show/implement translated documents into english? I know someone who is fluent in both languages needs to do it, but how should they write it. For example, I have some forms that have boxes with foreign words, like "nombre", what is the best way to show the translation of these without getting messy and scribbling everywhere. Does any one have an example they could show me? Or like with a letter, should it be wrote off to the side with an arrow pointing or something?

I did things on a separate sheet of paper, appropriately titled "English Translation of Spanish Document [name of document]," and stuck each translation behind its Spanish original.

Be sure to include the "translator's certification" (found on VJ), si man.

If you mean the format, there are basically 2 ways: follow the same formating layout the original documents had, inclusive to the boxes, etc; such that is an 'image' of the original, just in Spanish. the second is to just textually translate without following the original layout, think of it as a "plain" transcription, just following the sequence of lines/words.

I've done both ways (for immigration related matters) and both do work without a problem. What they want to see is the content not how pretty it is.

What is important is that (as TBone TX says) a paragraph stating that this is done by a person fluent and competent in both languages. There is no need to have an "official" or "certified" translator, not seals, etc.

Also, Notice that only documents NOT in English or the national official language of the country where you are are required to be translated.

It will do, just 2 things:

include the certification that you are fluent in both (see links above) and second, don't really think you need to translate a card; translations in the context of immigration usually refer to documents such as birth certificates. That said, I think you will get an automatic pass for originality!
