to wait, or not to wait?

have an interview date for Jan. 9. I kinda want my baby to put in his month's notice soon, but he wants to wait until he has his visa, anyone else think this is crazy? How did you all deal with getting everything wrapped up, getting out of flat, selling the car, etc.?

Your visa is valid for 6 months from the date of issue, that should give you time to wrap everything up.... it would be very silly for him to hand in his notice now... what would he do if for some reason things were delayed??? much better to wait and sort everything out once he has been approved....

well i didnt have a job or house as i was at university so i didnt have much to wrap up!!

Job - i would wait till approved

Flat - depending on the lease if it was a months notice i would wait

He should wait until the visa is in his hands before handing in his notice.

He's being very sensible to wait IMO.

Anything could happen to delay the receipt of his Visa so I would definitely wait about the job. My husband sold a lot of things and was literally sleeping on the floor for the last two weeks before he came here.(and this was after he received the Visa).
